personal opinion sidenote: kidbuu, you shouldnt separate yourself from others because of the color of clothing you choose to wear as you wouldnt separate yourself from others because of the color of your skin. None of us should, but we do. Kids are silly, but really we do stereotype kids by what they wear as our ancestors did (and some still... ) to people by the color of their skin. As much as I hate emo kids, they have every right to exist and look ridiculous as I do, they just choose to excercise that right. You said "who are you to judge me" well youve put yourself out here in internet land, where people have different tastes and styles, different than yours, at the org we're all vastly different and if youre going to be here you must realize that when you put your opinion out there someone is going to ridicule it no matter what it may be. Also no matter who you are and how youre dressed someone will always be there to degrade you for that too. I was the kid at school everyone thought was "goth," (im not a goth dammit) I got garbage thrown at me everyday just cuz I wore black clothing (and Im a girl so its not like i was a boy wearing black makeup) dont think I dont get the dont judge me thing cuz I do. Do you know how bad it hurts to be hit in the face with a full can of pop thrown from a truck going about 80K? Cuz I do and it aint pretty. Thats who I am to judge you, Ive been there, I told people I wasnt goth, that there was no such thing, so for you to sit here uneducated about the true meaning and history behind the word Goth, and to be ignorant to the fact that there are bands out there MUCH heavier than slipknot and falloutboy and claim to be hardcore gothic make you look like an illiterate mullet. You started this thread to talk about gothic music, open your mind and realize that there are much heavier and better music out there and take a few bands into consideration, listen to a few songs, these guys really know what theyre talking about theyre not just being assholes.
