Queens of the Stone Age, would I suppose be plausably construe as my group of the moment if you can consider a moment a indescriminant length of time. Ever since I bought Songs for the Deaf a while back I have been really into them, scrambling to find any bit I can. They are the only group from this decade whose music I even bother to buy. Probably becuase they don't sound at all like any one else.

WarsawpacK, like a jazz backed Rage Against the Machine.

Big Dumb Face, seriously messed up metal with influences from all over the place.

LuciDream, pop finished acoustic indie rock fused with hip-hop and psychedelia. Highly intelligent lyrics. www.lucidream.ca

At the moment I'm on a high for Tailbone, saw these guys supporting The Eternal last saturday night, lets just say it was stupid to see them live then listen to the cd for the first time after the show, when I listen to the cd I am waiting for the that live essence to seep into my ears and deafen me like that ole faithfull night..
Mix of Rage against the machine, clean opeth singing and slight soad screaming to the heavy chrous'. Takes a little time to get used to it.

Lately I've really gotten into 1960's garage rock from around the world -- in particular, bands like Q 65, Thor's Hammer, the Outsiders, and the Pretty Things.

Dir en Grey, some people have heard of them, some have not. They are a japanese rock/metal band. All of their songs are in japanese, you can find some of the songs in english but they don't sound good.

Mmmm.... Still Dream Theater and Blind Guardian, but Hourglass is working their way up there, too.
