depends on what you think is jazz. Is jazz something that is played on the radio station in business in banks?

Is jazz the easy listening station?

Is jazz played in smokey bars in low light?

Most of the seatbelts work IS NOT traditional jazz, but has jazz heavy influences. Bad dog no biscuit is decidedly Ska, black lion is tribal, etc. . .

it just depends on your tastes tho. . .for newer jazz, try David Benoit or Norah Jones. For older jazz, try Louis Armstron or Erroll Garner, cab calloway (jazz blues).

I say screw it and listen to what you like.

The Seat Belts work could probably be squeezed into the 'contemporary jazz' category with a little shoe-horning, with maybe a song or two bumping over into 'scratch jazz' or 'eccentric'.

Man, I'm getting rusty though, I'm having a hard time thinking of too many examples. Search back for that 'best guitarists' thread, lots of great stuff in there.

Also a good idea is to hit up some of the jazz magazines websites, they often run bios and polls of groups and instruments.

From up my alley of music obscurity...

While this is drum-oriented rather than guitar (though does feature good guitar) - you can try some real acoustic jazz from Bill Bruford's Earthworks and some more electric stuff from Bruford-Levin: Upper Extremities (BLUE)
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
