Deicide?

Actually, my favorite Christian band (or Christian music thingie) would be Damian Rice. Good stuff.

Kai Stromler wrote:The problem with Christian music is that there are too many groups of Christians-who-play-music playing for Christians as opposed to musicians-who-are-Christian playing for music fans. They are accordingly unable to reach out to non-theists and anti-theists because the music isn't good enough, and there's no incentive to get better because they have a fanbase that will buy their stuff for non-musical reasons.

You're officially awesome for that.

I was originally going to write something along the lines of:
Kai almost wrote:My Favorite Christian-Related Bands And Some Good Songs From Them:
--
Destruction ("Nailed To The Cross")
Slayer ("Disciple")
Vital Remains ("At War With God")
Deicide ("Lunatic of God's Creation")
Hypocrisy ("God Is A Lie")
Iced Earth ("Brainwashed")
Centurian ("God Got Killed")
Zyklon ("Chaos Deathcult")
Death ("Spiritual Healing")
but then I remembered that people who listen heavily to Christian music often don't have much of a sense of humor regarding religion. And that I actually had something insightful to post, which accordingly got in first.

Now, though, that the joking's been started by others, I can toss up my list with impunity and tongue firmly in cheek for all participants.

Well, I was totally serious about Blind Guardian. Just ask anyone on the Blind Guardian forum if they're a christian band.

I know...I was talking about farlo's comment, seeing as they used to be called Burn The Priest before they got signed.

If I'm not a christian should I enjoy christian rock?

Is it right?
I'm bored and you're dumb. A match made in heaven.

I always thought the name Lamb of God had a sarcastic tone to it.

Of couse. I know some guys at school who aren't christians at all that listens to mainstream christian bands (POD, Demon Hunter, MxPx, ect.). It's alright to enjoy it.
