Seconded, I've seen that screename around since before I ever became a member of this site. It's honestly hard to believe that this happened so suddenly. I rarely ever spoke with the guy, but he will be missed. My prayers go out to his family.

I never met him in real life, never talked with him outside of these forums/IRC, even banned him multiple times. I never got to see what a great guy he was outside of his persona here, except as much as he joked about it, I was always surprised by the caring he showed for his wife.

He was very intelligent, a lot of fun around here (even with some of the trouble he caused, or perhaps because of it :P ), and while he could be an asshole, I respect him, and am happy to have had the opportunity to have been part of his Conet MEP: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=148211

I'll miss you, troublemaker.

I don't have much to say, as I was never too close to him, and don't believe I ever even met him. I did have a lot of respect for him though, as he generally made the community a much better and more interesting place.
When I heard the news, it was like finding out that one of my favorite celebrities had passed :(

Hahaha. I guess I should chime in my thoughts of godix.

I remember when he first came here and started flaming, I was like "who the fuck does this guy think he is and I hope he gets banned". After seeing so many of his hilarious flame wars, I really wanted him to flame me so I could come up with some awesome counter flame and be some kind of hero. Ironically, it was godix who ended up being my own personal hero.

godix never really flamed me at all. The closest thing would be his roast at the end of Dedicated to godix and some joke comments on my video announcements.

Since he flamed so many people, I wanted to see if he really had the chops to back it up. I was expecting him to be a mediocre editor who talked big, but after watching his videos (I think my first video I saw of his was Dedicated to Sammy), I was like "shit, this guy really does have some kind of talent to back up his shit talking".

Over the time he was here, we exchanged some funny ideas over org PM's, even an idea for Dedicated to godix which he even thought I was going kinda far with. He was right in retrospect and it proved he had a rational side.

Knowing him, he would want me to piss on his grave instead of putting flowers, but I can't do that. I think Jen summed it up by saying he was truly the George Carlin of the .org.

I felt like I really lost a crazy, sarcastic, but loveable uncle figure in my life.

Haunt me soon, old friend.

I'd support it. I say we put the avatar on the org's homepage for a certain amount of time.

I'm not really sure what to say. As far as I'm concerned, Godix was one of the orgs "personalities". He was part of what made our community what it is. This site will never be the same without him. I never really got know him, as many of you, but I'm still going to miss him.
I'm all up for doing something in his memory.
