Whole Foods had a sale on organic apples yesterday. $1.49 per pound, or five pounds at $1.00 per pound. There is now a drawer in my fridge filled with ten pounds of organic apples. God, I love apples.

I took my daughters with me to buy the second five pound bag. When the girls and I brought the apples to the counter, the guy at the counter offered the girls a treat. He brought out a box with apples, oranges, raisins, and granola bars. After first trying to take the whole box, Lily picked an apple...

Me: "Lily, we just bought ten pounds of apples."
Lily: "But we didn't buy any green ones!"

This girl and apples, man... Doesn't fall far from the tree.

For once, Whole Foods =/= whole paycheck, pay with leg, etc hahaha. Love that place but it's soo expensive

Whole Foods may be more expensive but if you're frugal, you can get away with shopping there. Someone recently even used a very conservative federal guideline (I forgot the name) for monthly food expenses for a family of four and managed to get away with only shopping at Whole Foods. Of course, that meant not snacking, which I could not do.
