Hang in there Yue <3

As for student finances, well, keep in mind that you shouldn't generalize. There are some people out there who are genuine whiners with no right to complain, and there's others who do have good reasons to. Students are often actually underfunded. In my case, and I'm hardly a student anymore, I would've been a happy man 10 years ago if I were not getting into any debt to pay for my school, and was making any money at all - let alone enough to squeeze by on. Now I'm in my PhD and the work I do has a lot more in common with professors than students, but not my pay. I'm living on $760 this month despite doing at least half the job that a professor does. I don't go party and, frankly, I'm just at a different stage of life now. And this fucking sucks, and damn right I can complain about it

Due to a communication error, my crew's return trip from Miami this weekend leaves too late. Call customer service and get it fixed? Nope, it has to be done in person. That'll be $15, by the way.

No big deal, so I went to the station today. Turns out that's $15 per ticket (so that's $60 more than I originally planned). I was down to $20 at the time, so my dad transferred some money over. Of course, they only accept cash, because of course they do. I tried the ATM, but that would have been too easy. My card got disconnected from my account sometime in the hour before I got to Greyhound.

I got a replacement card later, but my bus tickets are still messed up.

:x Went to the drug store to pick up some stuff, driving through my neighbourhood and a car, with no lights on, nearly sideswipes me, forcing me up over the sidewalk. Dude finally notices and gives a "whoops my bad".

;_; Now I'm all tense.

At work I accidentally reformatted the disk of an in-production system we use for video conversion... We don't use it often since our current recording system does a lot of it automatically but on occasion we do. The computer was on my desk so I assumed it was one that had been replaced. Turns out my co-worker had put it there because the "test" network in the server room wasn't working for whatever reason. I knew this but completely forgot about it until I was showing my boss some work I had been doing and he commented on the disk size. Lightbulb went off and "oh shits" were said.

My coworker, who uses that system, had left early i guess so I didn't have a chance to say anything but I really hope nothing important was on that system.

Mild irritation in several different degrees, most of them school related. >_<

I know how you feel, I had some idiot turn left on a red as I went through the green a few months back. I got so close that I could see the dude's girlfriend's scared-as-shit expression, and almost hit a car waiting on the other side of the red. Then I ended up following the guy into town, it was both scary and awkward. I didn't end up driving much the next week. Canadian drivers, eh? :P

As for today, I've had a nasty headache for the last few hours and can't sleep, and have 8:30 class tomorrow. >.>

I went home yesterday after work expecting to play FFXIII-2. I was tired when I got home so I decided to take a nap. Nap turned into sleeping all night long. I wake up after 14 hours of sleep and yet I still feel like shit.....

Ok, this is a FREAKING PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.

I am ridiculously pissed off about this, and I see it happen TIME AND TIME AGAIN with all of our new clients that come in.

Refund anticipation loans (no matter how legit they look, and EVEN if they come from H&R Block) ARE A FUCKING SCAM. DO NOT DO IT EVER. They tell you that you have a refund of $3500, when in reality your refund was $4500, and the $1000 difference is quietly ignored and snagged onto the slew of paperwork that they give you to sign that you don't read. It is a legal form of loansharking. >_>

The rates they charge on these are ridiculous and is highway robbery. Pay 10 bucks to e-file and wait a week. You'll get all your refund.
