Alan Wake, again.
Still a SH1/2 rehash, but just as good.

Loved Alan Wake, hated paying for DLC that explained basically nothing new.
Right now: Heavy Rain. My God, easily my favorite game of the past 5 years.

It's gonna blow your mind when you find out who the Origami Killer is. When I found out I went to a corner of my living room, laid down, curled up in the fetal position while repeatedly saying "It can't be, it can't be" for at least 2 minutes.competitionbros wrote:Right now: Heavy Rain. Batman: Arkham Asylum.
If you are a Batman fan, Metroid fan, or both get off your ass and pick this shit up NOW. Just beat it yesterday and it is without a doubt the best Batman game on the planet, the sequel's gonna kick ass this fall.

Both those games are good. even tho Heavy Rain is more of on time thing for me, until the sequel or spiritual successor comes out. i hope Arkham City comes out alright, hopefully no Bioshock 2Jwalk0 wrote:It's gonna blow your mind when you find out who the Origami Killer is. Counting down the days until Dragon Age 2. I fell completely in love with the first game and I am frothing at the mouth for the second.

The creator of HR said in so many sentences that he wasn't gonna make a sequel for many good reasons but you know how it is these days, I wouldn't be surprised if he wound up doing it eventually. And Lord knows I hope Arkham City comes out alright too.Enigma wrote:Both those games are good. even tho Heavy Rain is more of on time thing for me, until the sequel or spiritual successor comes out. i hope Arkham City comes out alright, hopefully no Bioshock 2Jwalk0 wrote:It's gonna blow your mind when you find out who the Origami Killer is. Final Fantasy 13.
Bought this on midnite launch and beat it 6 days from then and to me personally this game has the best OST, graphics, and battle system outta the past FFs. TO ME. Everything else though this game severely lacked, only character I could relate to wuz Sahz, all you basically do is fight, the uprade system wuz wack, no shops in the traditional sense due to the whole fugitive theme, hardly any exploration until you reach Gran Pulse and even then you can't go back to certain places and you never get an airship so you have to travel on foot, and the story could've been more epic and presented better than it wuz because it had great themes relating to governmental abuses of power and the negatives they have in brainwashing masses of people for generations to believe in certain lies in order to control them for evil purposes. It's disappointing when you wait almost 4 years for a game you think is gonna be historic only to find out it's on an average level, last time I ever get my hopes up like that. Just for those 3 categories, it's a good game.
On my first playthrough I created over 90 save points so I could rewatch certain scenes and fight against certain bosses without having to start from scratch again, I normally do this on every RPG I play. Since I beat FF13 I would spend a few hours on random days just watching certain scenes and fighting certain bosses but now I feel the urge to just go thru all the scenes and boss battles and thanks to the save points I don't have to worry about grinding. So I can skip past all the enemies on my ways to the scenes and then when the boss fights arrives, restart from the save points so my crew will already be ready for them. It's extremely convenient. Went from the start of the game to Hope's home in 7 hours in lieu of the 16 hours it took on the playthru. I don't know which side of the fence I should be on for FF13-2, I honestly don't.
Can't believe FF7 turned 14 last month. Before I'm an old man on my deathbed I want to have experienced a remake of it. It's coming, after all the spinoffs and side stories it has to. It's only a matter of time. Only question is.............will it be decent

Re: What are you playing?
This WILL probably end up being another MGS. With the convoluted storyline and 3 hour cutscenes but Arkham City worries me with the news on multiplayer. FF13 wasn't even that bad, just change the name from FF to something else people would probably eat it up. FF13-2 Looks...not even sure, but its always fun to play.Jwalk0 wrote:Stuff

Re: What are you playing?
I think the team behind Arkham City said they weren't going to implement multiplayer sections due to the question of if it will make the game better or not, they decided it wasn't so they're gonna concentrate solely on making single mode the best it can be.Enigma wrote:This WILL probably end up being another MGS.
