Ouch, even from the way it's written, that's just... bad journalism :/
Sorry you have to be at the butt of that.
Sorry you have to be at the butt of that.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Re: Vent Thread
I can't post the details since this forum is public and my real name is my custom text, but I posted it all on twitter earlier.
My hands are now stained with blood.
To make the rest of the day worse, on my way home, I was stalked by some crazy old man.

It was probably Vlad or godix. I don't think godix is that old, so it had to be Vlad.Mr. Moonbeam wrote:Dude. All the more reason to shank him. Be careful though, only silver can kill either of them, they're older than they look. Godix is actually a vampire and Vlad is.... just old.Castor Troy wrote:It was probably Vlad or godix. I don't think godix is that old, so it had to be Vlad.Mr. Moonbeam wrote:Dude. Re: Vent Thread
So my direct supervisor knows two things about fixing computers: Jack and Shit. Yet somehow, this person is miraculously allowed to not only be in charge of a group of people who do such things for a living, but is also supposed to be coverage in a pinch...
Several weeks ago there was a scheduling screwup. He was on his own for approximately five hours. EVERYTHING that came to him was checked in and put in the back for the rest of us to deal with later. Even things that should have been a simple "fix and send them on their way" were checked in. The bench was full, and the "waiting" section was literally overflowing.
Fast forward to today. This genius checks a computer in because the client wanted the data from their hard drive, and for us to run diagnostics to see what was going on. Data backup was pretty straightforward. Then I went to run the diagnostics, only to realize it won't happen because the motherboard is CLEARLY stuffed. I tell him we're going to end up refunding the diagnostic fee, since we can't really do the diagnostics.
"Why? You determined that the motherboard is bad. That's a diagnostic. They didn't know that it was bad."
I mull this over for a while since I have other issues to deal with. I finally get the time to address things properly and confront him. I explain that they paid for us to do full diagnostics, which means we run a full set of tests. With the motherboard being faulty, this could not be done. This was something that ANY OTHER EMPLOYEE would have seen at the counter, and they would NOT have checked it in for anything more than the data backup. I will be refunding this diagnostic fee because we did nothing, and to do anything less is preying upon ignorance. The motherboard is bad, that should have been caught right away.
"Ok, I see where you're coming from. But you can't say 100% for sure that the motherboard is bad since we didn't run any diagnostics."

So apparently that we FORGET more than he will ever LEARN about computers means nothing. The fact that I know beyond the shadow of a doubt and would put $20 down to GUARANTEE the board was bad means nothing. I can't run diagnostics because the motherboard is bad, but I can't say the board is bad because I didn't run diagnostics, BECAUSE THE FSCKING BOARD IS STUFFED.........

Suddenly, when you least expect it, he shows up---head askew with blank-eyed stare, arms extended out before him, dangling word documents from lifeless fingers. "Take theeeeeeeeeesssssssse," he breathes, through unmoving white lips. "Wriiiiiiiiiiite ups for con prograaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam. Due in 6 hourssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss."
Chilling beyond words.

It's true. Except sometimes it's pencils and ballots @_@CorpseGoddess wrote: Apparently Vlad only starts stalking you once you work for him.
