And I like techno.
I've been in mosh pits, and they are fun.
But sometimes you don't feel like supporting the weight of strangers when they decide that since you're the tallest guy around you would be good for climbing up to body surf.

Really, if they asked nicely I would help them up. But when a stranger jumps on my back and digs his feet into my side, I get cranky. Funny that.
If nothing else, harsh noises get your attention.

Î know its really mean but for some obscure reasons I Love
being in the mosh and kick the shit out of those
lil 13 years old junkies on mescaline..hahaha
I really enjoy mosh pits, but it could hurt..A LOT
But I can take the sacrifice of a painfull arm for a month
for a super fucking ass kicking stave dive to knocking
ppl down with my foot on their head...haha...yup
im a hard core mosher..still..I miss it..the real good ones..
and I like girls that do stage dives and lands on me...
But I like more ''constructive'' mosh pits like a giant circle
with ppl running in circle for some songs and more violent
stage dives on another song, to big trash on the stage final
rather than just one ugly trash with stupid security or pissed
off wanks that just always throws ppl into it rather then help
them get out of it if they see they can't take it anymore.

The Fugees are cool, and Nas and Tupac are listenable. Rap just isn't really my thing, except in concert - rap concerts are awesome. Only time you see that many white boys in front of a stage and not see idiots bashing each other.
As for Jay-Z, I love the Grey Album remixes. I just wish they could be properly released.

Good production?
Wolfsheim - Once In A Lifetime
tweaker - Linoleum (in the downloads section)
ohGr[/] - SunBurn - ok, there's only a 30 sec. clip, but I'm trying damnit
Beautiful Assasins
- Radar
[urlhttp://ant-zen.darkambient.net/converter/noise.html]Converter - Itami (One) - yes, this is supposed to sound like that. It's art. You'd be suprised how addictive this kind of music is.

Oh, and you metalheads should definitely give that last one a shot. You won't think of techno the same again.
if you want more fugees here are some songs :
The Fugees - Killing Me Softly With His Song
The Fugees - No Woman No Cry (Remix With Steven Marley)
its all in "The Score"(their CD)

and "Legend" (CD) by Bob Marley the CD is like fuckin' crazy there are
14 songs in it and 13 song are really big hits!no joke!

and Jay-Z suck besides this song and maybe tow more
and what's wrong with 'pac's and Nas's songs?

beautiful assassins:cool, which genre is it?rock?i wanna add it to my collection
grade:95
Itami:could'nt find it

Everytime I think of the Fugees, I miss Pras. Ghetto Superstar was good. Of course, I miss Lauryn too. Sure, Wyclef stays busy, but he repeats himself a lot.

They're derivative and pointless, at least from the viewpoint of a middle-class white Canadian.
As for Jay-Z, if you can find it, check out the Grey Album. It was done by DJ Danger Mouse - he took the vocals off the Black Album and put them on new tracks created with the Beatles "White Album". It's fucking great.

As for the tracks you couldn't find, they are on the websites, look again.
And for future reference, telling a gay guy that you didn't like some songs because you thought the singer sounded "gay" is not very nice.

"The Massage" is cool it has the part in the beginning from "scarface"
(The Best Movie Ever!)

*cough* looks at the main song suggester.

***

and oh.

*stabstabstab* for the comments on David Sylvian. WTD.

That song has been going up on my list massively. It sort of brings me back to the Fripp/Sylvian days.

For one, Sylvian has a good voice. It's not dripping with testosterone, and instead choosing a softer, more intellegent approach.

Sylvian's lyrics, Linoleum included, are just awesome. He's now officially my favorite lyricist. The way he puts together imagery works incredibly well for me.

And then, hand in hand with the lyrics, there's the awesome use of musical texture, and I'm glad tweaker did him justice in that department, also. In general, if I go to something like his 'The First Day', the vast majority of the album is not vocal-oriented songs, but semi-vocal-supported musical texturisms. In my book, someone is yet to approach him on that...

But, whatever...
***

Oh yea, ithaqua, if you got any tips on someone who'd be comparable to Sylvian either in terms of lyrics composition or use of 'musical textures' as I call it, I'm open for tips...
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Well, how many do you generally hang out with?

(A pull quote from the linked article: "At least hip-hop is founded on male-to-male love—the crew, the posse—and that appeals to our sense of art, poetry, and masculinity.")

Homophiles make up 10% of the population. You can't draw lines around music genres and keep them out.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.
CHOPWORK - abominations of maceration
skywide, armspread : forward, upward
Coelem - Tenebral Presence single now freely available

I love a good music thread.

Heres everything I've ever listend too. Some stuff isn't on there for one reason or another but you get the idea.

Pretty generic popular music taste. But everything on there rocks in one form or another. Except maybe the 50 Cent :x

Thank you for coming up with a clear and patient response.
I guess I learned my lesson about trying to expand people's musical horizons.

And Oto, I think Sylvain is mostly an originator, but you would possibly like Bonny "Prince" Bonny, aka Will Oldham. (Also worked with tweaker, alas I'm lazy)
Edward Ka-Spel (of the Legendary Pink Dots, among others) has a very subtle delivery as well.
Coil and Current 93 also choose lyrics over agression.
