so let's finish it like this
I Think:That Rock is The Most Pthetic type of music ever!(except israeli rap that is so stupid)
I think: That rap is the most pathetic type of music ever.
Wait, can it really be considered music when all they're doing is rhyming fast to a beat?
1.rhyming is a lot harder then screamin' "fuck"
2.whould u plz tell me how is rap "pathetic"?
1.Not all rockers scream fuck. Now, rhyming fuck is easy, and you don't even have to stress your vocals: I saw the duck, as he was snuck, and all what the fuck.
See? easy.
2. Well, not enough inspiration, unless boasting is considered a great art form.
And why does the world revolve around the ghetto?
If you're upset about bad living conditions, why not sing about Ethiopia? Or other third world countries? They have it worse off than most anyone from the ghetto.
Also, if you are going to sing about the ghetto, don't leave out the oppressed Jewish people from WW2, after all the term ghetto arose from the living places of the people whom Hitler oppressed in WW2.
I think that's more thought provoking and emotional than today's "hip hopized" ghetto.
And if you want real rhyming, there's plenty of classic writers that do it so much better than rappers.
Try some Shakespeare or some Alexander Pope.

Sorry, I couldn't but help laugh at that statment.
Is it peer pressure when you find, and like the music all by yourself?
And very few, if any, rappers are from the ghetto, and I'm damn sure none of them are living there now.
It still makes me wonder how you can talk about the ghetto when you live in a $5,000,000,000 mansion
that is so stupid!
they are talkin' about what heppend to 'em as the were livin' there as kids how the cops discriminated 'em 'cause they are black
and Yes Biggie stayed there but i'm not sure why
and they are talkin' in there how their life was bad when they were in the ghetto so why whould they stay there
& the color is black u dumbass!
Well, if Biggie stayed there, then he must be the most "real".
Yes, every rapper was discriminated as a child, hence the strong dislike for the police
I just find it funny they can sing about the "horrible ghetto" while living in a mansion, driving $200,000 cars with ridiculous chrome wheels, and eat $200 meals.
Do they even go back and help the people living in the ghettos? y'know, instead of just singing about it, shoudn't they at least put money into the community?
System of a Down is an incredible rock band. They sing about political stuff, and one of their songs, P.L.U.C.K. (Politically lying unholy cowardly killers) was about the Armenian genocide. SOAD then put money into an Aremenian Genocide recogintion fund to help out the familes that lost loved ones, and to bring about awareness. They gave back.
Did any of your rappers, like say Tupac, give anything back, or did he just whine and do nothing about it like so many rappers?

what's worng with tellin' the world what's up in the ghetto and that we've gotta change that
Yeah, the ghetto is more important than world hunger, and religious wars, and terrorists, and evil, oppressive dictators, and political ignorance/evil.

and the teacher(jack black) hates mtv like me!lol
any other guys here hates mtv?
I hate MTV. Because either they don't play music, or if they do, it's always rap.
Most of the stuff I like isn't on MTV.
So your statement of rock being an MTV sell out is invalidated.
Tupac was on MTV, so doesn't that make him a sell out, by your definitions?
Oh, and you hate drums on rock...
Let me ask you, what's up with the super highly repetitive beats on rap?
And once again, those beats on rap are coming from a machine that is simulating a drum, just so you know.
And one more thing about rap, the songs just don't feel like they go anywhere...
It feels like there's no movement at all, like its sitting still.
Songs like Orgy's "Fiend", now those sound like they're moving. I can easily envison a car chase, or a battle on a speeding train.
Rap, nope, all I see is a guy standing and talking.
