Re: What are you playing?
Going back and forth between my 2nd play through of Tales of Graces f and The Sly Collection (currently on Sly 2: Band of Thieves)
I found The Sly Collection for $20 at wally world last week so I picked it up after hearing news about Sly 4. I'm having more fun with it then I thought I would so I'm glad I got it for such a good price new.
While these are not the full games I did play the demo for Beyond Good & Evil HD and currently debating if I should just get the HD download or go look for a disc copy for the PS2 (I prefer have disc copies but for $10 the download tempting, suggestions?) Along with the demo for Sonic Generations and damn it's a pretty XD.

Re: What are you playing?
Finished BioShock. Good stuff. Yes, I was playing on Easy, but I still don't think that it would have been that difficult on Normal. You basically have Health Kits and EVE Hypos coming out of every orifice, and you can use the wrench for the whole game. Well, I did switch to my pistol to shoot out electrified tripwires, the shotgun for Big Daddies (they're more dangerous at close range than long range), and I cycled through some weapons during the final battle, since it was so darn easy. Circle strafe, anybody?
I also didn't get what the big deal about the fright factor was. I did not find the game scary at all whatsoever. The Splicers were amusing more than anything. You can invade the Big Daddies' personal bubbles all you want as long as you don't attack, so they're not scary. The environments weren't particularly frightening. Corpses are a dime a dozen, so you get totally desensitized to seeing them around. All I ever thought was, "Fuck yeah, items!" when I would see one. I don't know. I really don't think a harder mode of difficulty would have made a difference, because fear of death typically has no bearing on my opinion of the scare factor.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the story, and although I'm not a big fan of first person shooters, the gameplay was fun, too. I got the best ending (one of the reasons I picked Easy Mode was so I could do this without too much hassle), so I don't have much incentive to replay.
Now on to Final Fantasy XIII!

You should play System Shock 2 if you haven't already.dj_ultima_the_great wrote: I also didn't get what the big deal about the fright factor was. I did not find the game scary at all whatsoever. This. System Shock 2 is astonishingly good. That being said, I should finally get to playing the original System Shock. Can't believe it's been 17 years since it's release...McDirty wrote:You should play System Shock 2 if you haven't already.dj_ultima_the_great wrote: I also didn't get what the big deal about the fright factor was. Got my hands on The Witcher 2 somehow i find previous one more enjoyable , this one is kinda eye candy and and blurry view with rotation of camera annoys me. :/
