Re: The Happy Thread
Did a bunch of storyboards last night, loaded them all up into premiere, fiddled around with transitions, rendered out the first 2 minutes of the animatic to my film. It's really quite insane to see the fruits of your labor brought to life. I've been seeing this thing in my head continually for a couple of years now. Now I can finally watch it move :O It's gonna be even better when I start trading these storyboard/animatic frames with the final shots created in 3dsmax/AE...

Re: The Happy Thread
Few things:
My Dad, for some stupid reason, took out a life insurance policy when he was twenty. I got an e-mail from my sister telling me about this and that my grandmother would be sending me a check for $100 (the policy only came out to like $288). My sister put that even though he's gone, he's still able to get us a present for our birthday. So, I adopted a kitten last weekend as a birthday present. I ended up naming her Izzy after my old cat Isabel. She reminds me a lot of her and I really couldn't settle on any other name. She's freaking adorable. Total love-bug. When I'm laying down on the couch, she'll come up and lay down on my chest for a bit to hang out and get a little scratch. She's always hanging around me when I'm on the computer (which gets a little annoying).
Few picture i took today after our visit to the vet:

My favorite band, Parabelle, released their new album on Tuesday early for those of us who participated in the Kickstarter. It's good times. I still really like the last two albums but this one has grown on me over the past few days. Can't complain, it's new music from my favorite vocalist/band. I should be getting some swag from them soon for participating in the kickstarter so I'm looking forward to that.
Suffice to say, this has been a decent distraction from the family drama.

My last ever college essay is (kinda) finished! What's more ironic is that it was an analysis of dissident Russian rock - couldn't have picked a timelier date for it...
But best of all, right now I'm in an airport on the way to Florida for fun times and good peoples and not having to worry about work and other such stuff

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I finally have all of the Order of the Stick paperbacks! What's that? Time to binge through the entire series again?
