OMG! That's so wrong. Here you are being responsible by WORKING and they harrass you like that? I bet someone was shot that night and they were dealing with you.Mkid wrote:a Black 17 year old boy has a pizza deliverying bag and a pizzaria shirt on at 9:30 waiting in front of somebodies door and the side door... knocking .. after 10 minutes the owner finally came to the door to pay for his delivery.. when come to my car guess what i see. Security by my car... RAGE FILLED MY BODY, I dont know what is wrong with people. i would understand if i looked suspicious(maybe if i had a mask, or had all black on) but holding a pizza kinda throws off belief that im going kill someone. Good thing i didnt have a bag of skittles and a ice tea or i probably wouldnt be posting this post. the more i think about it the angrier i get. stupid sh*t like this makes people start to hate themselves and who they are... Stupidity and ignorance
Anywho. I hate racism due to ignorance like that. Not everyone fits a stereotype.
I hope you can overcome this and I pray that the bill for the law making it illegal to film Police officers doesn't pass.

WTF? That's crazy! You should stand up for yourself and let people know you are confident and that you aren't going to be walked on. Better to do in private, but I would so say something.Chiiisus wrote:I'm in training for a new Inbound Complaints team for a bank at work. I hate my new team. Why? They sit there and bitch about people they barely know. A group of them even said, while EVERYONE was in the room. 'I bet we're going to be the ones who sit and talk about people behind their back when they leave the room.' WTH. This isn't school. We also had to learn slides (one of which was 155 slides long) and do they let people focus? No. They sit there making fun of a persons name, laughing about it. It's not like anyone is trying to concentrate on learning stuff for a test they'll get in 20 minutes. Nope, not at all.
Oh, when discussing who was single in the group. They sat and spoke about me like I wasn't even there. I mean, of course I'm single because I'm not pretty enough. Hatred. Actual hatred.
This will be the longest 2 weeks I've experienced in work, ever.

Re: Vent Thread
Since we are on the topic of retarted people. I was having my cut by a women on my street. I went 3 times and on the 3rd time she complained that I tell her what to do too much and that my daughter was annoying. She basically vented on me and gave me the worst hair cut I ever had.
The moral of the story here is.....
If you have an issue with someone ie.... bringing my daugher to the appointment.... Couldn't she have just told me when I booked the appointment? I would have re-booked for a time when my husband was home. Duh? She had a playroom so I thought it was OK. I do see her point of view, but I don't see why you have to be a bitch like that.
Anywho.....It's been almost a year now and she still acts like I did something wrong. I only told people who did my hair if they asked......and Oh did they ever.
So I was thinking of being the bigger person and giving her a call. She's in her 40s and acts like a child. So I guess some of us never gorw up

Vent Thread
Hmm...retarded people...
Some lady comes into my store for Mac lessons. In our concierge system, it says she booked a topic on how to use her iPad. She then has a MBP with a slideshow presentation and had uploaded it YouTube and now wants my help to get her more views.
Not only is she retarded, she is...well, yeah that pretty much sums it up.
She had the stupidest and most poorly prepared slideshow I have ever seen and am wondering why in hell she never came in to learn how to make better shit. Shes been coming in for "lessons" for over a year.
EVEN WHEN SHE HAS TRAINERS TO HELP, SHE JUST WANTS TO DO WTF SHE WANTS. To get more views, I told her to change the title and add more tags. It's about kids voting to separate trick or treat night from Halloween and moving the date. Who really will care about it enough to watch a power-crap presentation on YouTube?

Re: Vent Thread
More of a rant than a vent, but I wasn't sure where to put it exactly. What is up with Hallmark holidays? Mother's Day is coming up, but for the life of me, I cannot understand why it exists.* Father's Day, Grandparents' Day, Sweetest Day... seriously, WTF? I'm very specific about telling people that I do not celebrate these fake holidays, and so they shouldn't expect anything from me on them - including acknowledgement that they're happening, because I typically don't even pay attention to that. (The only reason I notice them now is because I work in a bakery, which frequently has cakes and whatnot catering to the holidays.)
So what do I consider worth celebrating? Birthdays. Everybody's got one, so I don't need some blanket holiday covering some random grouping of people on top of that. Everyone gets one day where I reaffirm how much I love them and how happy I am that they exist. Be happy with that.
*I don't need the obvious "corporations invented them to make money" explanation. Obviously.

Re: Vent Thread
For me, it's because I feel that they're worth celebrating, especially the ones intended to show appreciation for certain people. I know, I know, "You should appreciate them all year long!" (which is kind of a cop-out, since you can use that on ALL holidays, really.) but I don't see a problem with showing EXTRA appreciation. As far as the corporate side of it, it's not always necessary to spend a lot of money, in fact I usually give people baked goods or food of some sort. >_>
