I actually went and grabbed it last night after seeing this. I'd passed on it the last time there was a free promotion, but this time I just said 'screw it, I'm gonna try anyway'. I'm even more amused that it can actually run fairly comfortably on my decade-old computer.dj_ultima_the_great wrote:I took advantage of the free distribution of Portal on Steam, so now my desktop compy has that going on.

Re: What are you playing?
Ok, you're going to have to explain this to me, because I'm really confused when you say you don't like games "like Mass Effect". At first from the list that you gave there, I thought maybe you didn't like games with shooter elements, but then you posted about liking Alan Wake; Fable's not necessarily a shooter wither. Then I thought maybe you didn't like games with a space setting, but Fable doesn't fit that either. You say you don't like games like Mass Effect, but then you throw in games from completely different genres and settings.... ????????????????????????????Fay-Sa wrote:No...I'm so sorry but I should have mentioned that I'm not into games like Mass Effect (or Fable,Halo, and Gears of War..might as well add them) I've watched others play it and I can already tell its not for me.CodeZTM wrote:Mass Effect is a lovely adventure with amazing writing for the 360.

I looked up that Operation Darkness, it looks interesting. Also Assasin's Creed on the PS3 as well (I own 1 and 2, I'm almost done with 2 then I can go get Brotherhood)CodeZTM wrote:Maybe Operation Darkness then? It's extremely unique and I've never really heard much acclaim for it. I'm not sure about much else. since Mass Effect, that and Assasin's Creed are the only games I have on the system. XD
EDIT: And to stay on topic. PLANTS VS ZOMBIES. How have I missed this all these years?!?!?!
I just don't have any interest in them. When I said 'like Mass Effect" I didn't mean games that are actually 'like' it in genre. That it, there really no need to explain any more. I just I just thought I would go ahead and list ones I don't want to be suggested. Hell I even played Halo when it 1st came out and all I liked was the music in the title screen. When I originally heard about Fable I thought I would really like it, instead I was broad. Its all just in my taste in what games I play.aesling wrote:Ok, you're going to have to explain this to me, because I'm really confused when you say you don't like games "like Mass Effect". On Topic: Got my copy of Persona 2 yesterday. Liking it so far, I keep going back and forth between the original music that was in the game or the new remixed version for the PSP release. Not as far as I would like to be but I've been distracted by something non-game related that I'll end up mention somewhere later. ^__^

Tomb Raider Level Editor. I tried my hand at building levels years back, but didn't have the drive to keep with it, so I've decided to play some custom levels instead. The guy plugged his level in the setup tutorial that I used, so right now, I'm playing "The Imprisoned Spirits."
On a related subject, my gamepad is clearly not meant for the gauntlet that is Tank Lara controls. My poor thumb! ;_;

Re: What are you playing?
I downloaded rusty hearts on a whim not expecting to really like it since its free on steam but well... Its kind of addictive.
If I could give an example of what its like: TMNT: Turtles in time + guild wars?
I don't know honestly, but the animation is pretty cool and the gameplay is fun as hell in parties.

"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson
