I still have dreams I'm back in Russian school (where I went through grade 8), actually more so than any recent education

I have those less often, but every once in awhile it's like "so, you got a couple of college degrees, but there was this one high school class you missed, so now you have to go back for a YEAR."
All of my not-want.

Man, I'd totally go back to high school. I had so much fun... I figured that's why we're all watching slice of life anime about high school age kids (who just so happen to pilot mechs) it's to re-live our youth... right? ...right?ZephyrStar wrote:I have those less often, but every once in awhile it's like "so, you got a couple of college degrees, but there was this one high school class you missed, so now you have to go back for a YEAR."

I had one dream post-graduation where I was in school and laughing diabolically because I didn't do a report.ZephyrStar wrote:I STILL have those dreams....usually it has to do with me being enrolled in a math class then forgetting I was in it till the end of a semester and realizing that I have shit tons of work past due or that I'm going to fail it. When it came time to turn in the report, I woke up..

Re: Vent Thread
Normally my dreams about being back in school involve running around trying to find the friends I haven't seen in years rather than caring about the classes.
Although there was one weird dream where everyone in the class was naked except for me. And I'm sitting there going, "nobody else finds this strange?!"

College is one of the best social, mind-expanding experiences you will ever have in your life. I won't say anything about the formal education, what kind of work you'll have to do to get through it, or the value of the job you get afterward. I also won't discuss how you will be in debt up to your eyeballs for the rest of your life.gotegenks wrote:dunno if i should go to college or not, something's telling me that that probably means i shouldn't, but still.

What I will say is that if anybody had asked me whether or not I wanted to repeat my six years of college, I would have said, "Yes. Absolutely."

Perpetual debt isn't something you have to worry too much about if you choose to major in something that'll give you a real, marketable, skill-set though.dj_ultima_the_great wrote:College is one of the best social, mind-expanding experiences you will ever have in your life. This assumes, of course, you are capable of getting a degree or two in a STEM field. As a great man once said, "if it doesn't make sense, that's because it makes dollars."
