The original lead singer is their most financially succesful alumni - Greg Lake, of the Emerson, Lake and Palmer fame.
He really worked well as their bassist and singer, but as soon as Keith Emerson invited him to join his new group, he left (albeit agreed on finishing recording In the Wake of Poseidon beforehand).
Hehe interesting how within Crimson there's really a variety of flavors. For instance, while I love all incarnations, I'm really into the 72-74 era, with the present band following closely behind - the two heaviest Crims so to say.
And oh... honestly, you're the first King Crimson fan that I've met anywhere outside of concerts and the Krimson News forums. Needless to say, I'm happy about that 8)
Cheers

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I like the two songs they did with daryl palumbo, "Grey matter" and "project mayhem" also what it is to burn and letters to you are pretty cool songs.Jace Tsunami wrote:have you heared Finch kilik?
Most Used fans like them.
if you have and don't like them, I do recommend you download this one song of theirs. It's unreleased, but it was put on an atticus cd so should be easy to find.
"Worms of The Universe"
They sound a lot like Glassjaw in this song. It kind of pisses me off, since it's been so long since they've gotten new material, that they just sound like another band, but there's nothing wrong with Finch, and there's nothing wrong with Glassjaw, so it is a good song.
As a Used/Glassjaw fan you should check it out.

Well, I recomend downloading some of it first to check if you like it. Many people just can't get comfortable with their style of music for one reason or another. Personally, I recomend trying such songs as Fallen Angel, Epitaph, Discipline, Red, Larks Tounge in Aspic, stuff like that.
Kawaita hitomi de dareka na itekure -The Real Folk Blues, Yoko Kanno
I like it! -Indiscipline, King Crimson
If you wanna touch the sky, you must be prepared to die, and I hate cough syrup don't you? -Cough Syrup, Butthole Surfers
