Having lived under a mass media-free bubble until I came home for break and having just seen the music video for 'Toxic', *when* did she decide to become a porn star and why wasn't I notified of this?

I'd give Britney 1-4 years until everybody forgets about her and starts denying that they ever liked her in the first place. And if that doesn't happen, it won't be long until someone just like her takes her place.
