What has Yokko Kano done other than Cowboy Bebop and Escaflowne?
And Kou Ohtani did the music for Outlaw Star.

Heh. <shrug> Ok ok... I respect your opinion. But do be sure that you listen to the tracks Melody, Salva Nos, and Canta Per Me. They're a must-listen for ANYONE.RyanGlazner wrote:On your suggestion, I downloaded a couple of the Noir soundtrack songs. They're pretty amazing, but my first vote still stands.

Actually, those were the first three I picked up. They almost made me change my mind, but then I got some of the others, and they weren't as good. I like pretty much the whole Outlaw Star music collection, whereas there were only a few from the Noir collection that really made an impression on me. Yeah, something like that.

For me, it's easiest to specify favorite composers.
1) Yoko Kanno (Macross Plus, Cowboy Bebop, Arjuna, Escaflowne(w/Hajime Mizoguchi), etc.)
2) Hajime Mizoguchi (Escaflowne (w/Yoko Kanno), Jin-Roh)
3) Yuki Kajiura (Noir, Aquarian Age, .hack//sign)
Note that this is a representative, not complete list of these artist's work, and there is plenty of other really cool stuff out there.
Here's a few:
Gasaraki (Haishima Kuniaki)
Read or Die (Taku Iwasaki, I think)
Ghost in the Shell (Kenji Kawai)
The Chrono Cross Game OST by Yasunori Mitsuda also owns.

If we're including game OSTs with it (saw FurryCurry mention Chrono Cross), then I have to go with Bebop, FF7 (My favorite FF soundtrack, Nobuo Uematsu owns hard), Lain (the music in Lain is creepy, I love it), Tenchi Forever (the third movie), and Chrono Cross.
I wonder what it would sound like if Yoko Kanno and Nobuo Uematsu collaborated...
