yes, never heared icp, but neither 2 or 3 are worthy of that list. None of New Found Glory's new stuff really strikes me as WOW!! That's so cool, I want to go out and make sure I own EVERYTHING they're released!!! I mean it's just not THAT good, granted it is good though, I like it and did buy it. They're older stuff such as their self titled album is much MUCH better. VegettoEX nailed it perfectly, though I'd say the entire album is just about like that, not just two songs. As for Good Charlotte, i can't really pin point the problem, I loved it but just don't ply that CD too much, nothing really makes me want to. I don't think though as good as it is it's good enough for a top list of the year.

The Starting Line!! That was an awsome album

Well I've only bought a few new releases this year, most of the stuff I have bought is 90's music.
Here are the few new CD's I've bought in order of preference:
1. TISM - Best Off
This is an Australian band which very few Australians even know about, this album was just a greatest hits album as the name suggests and was not as good as some of their earlier releases but worth a liste.
2. Augie March - Strange Bird
Another Australian band which very few Australians even know about, this release was said to be better than their debut from last year but I don't buy it, their first is what won me over and it will always stay that way.
3. Tori Amos - Scarlets Walk
Again not her best work in my opinion but worth a listen none the less.
4. Nirvana
My first Nirvana album and I was pleasently suprised.
5. LOTR Two Towers - Soundtrack
I haven't given it a serious listen but so far it sounds like more of the same with a few ggod songs taken out and an average one thrown in. I say give me more Enya.
6. Audioslave
What can I say, I was naively enough expectin RATM, so I was obviously disappointed, a solid album but just not to my tastes unfortunatley. I haven't really given it that much of a listen and I probably never will.
7. System of a Down - Steal This Album
To me this was a let down after Toxicity but mainly because when I bought Toxicity I was in to heavier gear and by the time I bought STA I had changed my frame of mind.
. The Drugs - The Music's in Trouble
8 Another Australian band which even less Australians know about, these guys were the support for TISM's (see above) Best Off tour, that were so cool and entertaining on stage that I decided to add them to my list of bands that I see live and purchase their crap. Unfortunatley their album wasn't as good as their performances but it was worth buying just to relive the memories.
9. Beck - Sea Change
I just wasn't ready for this album maybe in a year I can go back to it and appreciate it but atm I just don't know.

Well for me it is a slice off the top of my list of albums I have bought this year, I consider it to be an average to low amount of releases this year compared to what there was last year.

I think the only new albums I got this year were the Queens of the Stone Age and the Foo Fighters albums. Of the two, I liked the Foo Fighters more. Mostly I got past CDs, building up my once meager CD collection.

My favorite CD that I purchased this year was from 2001: The Dismemberment Plan's Change.

an album that released in may and I don't think I've mentioned yet is pretty good. The Ataris did a kick ass job I think with Anywhere But here. It is by far their best album, one of my new favorites, and a great come back with 22 trakcs, now that's a lot of tracks people. If you like punk rock, pop punk, emo, or any of the bands VegettoEx and myself mentioned, you'll love this album too. They're definetly one of my picks for best albums of 2002. And vegettoEX, if you havn't heard this one yet, fuck listening to it, go buy it, you'll like it.

Attak by KMFDM

while not as good as stuff like Nihil, still kick-ass.

Yeah, I think Weezer did a nice job with Maladroit to make up for the Green Album. It's more of the powerful Weezer from Pinkerton mixed with some of the legendary stuff from the Blue Album.

I'd have to disagree on Attak being kick ass. It was OK, and it's nice that they're back together, but it's not as good as, well, Nihil, for instance, and just doesn't have as much of the KMFDM feel, in my book.

I saw KMFDM live in June, and the older stuff they played blew the roof, as it were, while the new stuff just didn't have the same punch. I think it's a case of trying to be too clever and "arty", instead of just rocking.
I'm out...
