Re: The Vent Thread
Guess I should have made more of an effort to see my grandfather again before he died. I've lost count of how many times this has happened. Everyone else must have taken notice though, I don't even get phone calls from the people who were there, letting me know any more.
Preemptive, request to spare me your sky fairy bullshit.

You can only do so much. Things happen, you get distracted, time goes by. It does suck when you're left out of the loop though. When my grandfather died, either I completely forgot about it or no one felt the need to inform me. Didn't find out until several weeks, if not a month, later. I kinda expected it though so I wasn't surprised much or angry that no one told me. Mostly just sad that I didn't get a chance to see him between my Dad's passing and when he passed away. Again though, only so much you can do. Considering he was 3000 miles away, it made it rather difficult.BasharOfTheAges wrote:Guess I should have made more of an effort to see my grandfather again before he died. The moral of the story: don't dwell on it too much, you're only human.

Re: The Vent Thread
I mentioned last week that I might not have a job in the coming weeks, but wasn't sure of anything and should have something more certain soon?
Went into work today, boss man said that they didn't know anything new, but that I should start finding other employment position interviews "just in case", so if they do drop me on a random day that they don't know, I won't be caught off gaurd.
Mother#$%@^&%$... Your uncertainty is KILLING ME and my financial planning.
tl;dr : I'm horrendously stressed out at the moment.
EDIT: Oh, and my condolances for your loss Bashar.

Bashar I felt the same way before my Grandad died.. I think that's a common feeling for people in a similar situation. Also it's extremely hard to be around when you can see someone is literally wasting away so don't be too hard on yourself k?

Re: The Vent Thread
Thanks everyone - I only feel so bad about it because the same thing happened with my grandmother and my mother and in all cases I was living less than 40 miles away and had really shitty excuses for not making the effort.

Re: The Vent Thread
Random panic attack today. Got to work, tried to take a call and I got really out of it/upset very quickly. Sat in call work for like 20 minutes trying to calm myself, took 2 more calls and used up about 15 minutes of my lunch. Called Matt to try and talk me down, he told me to leave. Went home, took a xanax, slept for 5 hours. Up now, still very @_@ and bit achy, but much better. Hopefully I'll be ok to give it another shot tomorrow.
