Re: The Vent Thread
So the car is pretty much on its last legs. There's an exhaust leak that I can't find making a steady chirping noise....but I know it's somewhere that the leak gets into the cabin, because I get light headed if I roll the windows up for too long. Of course being able to afford another car is slightly out of reach right now as well.

Didn't get the dream job.
I went through the stages of rejection and I'm over it now. Applied for more government positions. The worst thing to do is to give up.

Re: The Vent Thread
My house is about a mile from where i've worked for the past 3 years. It's nice, I have a commute that's about 3-5 minutes depending on hitting 2 lights. For the past month (and for at least another month), I'm working remotely at another facility because they had work to do there and I needed something to work on. Problem is, that building is 30+ miles away and the only way there is a major traffic nightmare. My commute is at least an hour now. The part that bugs me, though, is how variable it is. I left home at the same time yesterday and today, but the difference between when I got to my desk was 20 minutes.

I'm starting to seriously worry. The dengue is a really dangerous disease, so I have to protect myself all days in order to not get infected with it.

Re: The Vent Thread
Kind of something that just hit me now. Over the past couple weeks or months (can't remember when it started), I've been explaining to people constantly that I'm colorblind. It's been used in passing conversation as a joke and such, which has been rather humorous to be honest. I really don't mind it but the act of explaining it to people so many times is starting to get annoying. Not so much the amount of times I've had to do it but more so I just don't know how to describe it. I know I am colorblind but I do not know/remember what type. I'm not one of those people who will try to remember random medical facts like this if it's really all that important.
I guess it comes down to the act of saying I'm colorblind and then people asking me about it... Can't blame people for being curious after all. I think most people assume if you're colorblind you mix up red/green or can't see any colors at all. I can see color just fine. Green is green, red is red. Sometimes I mistake red and orange, or yellow and green, or dark/light greens/blues/reds/browns for another color. I don't really know how to describe that in terms other people could understand, such as "Red-Green Colorblind", without trying to describe what I see in detail and feeling like an idiot in the process.
Oh well. #colorblindproblems

Re: The Vent Thread
Goddamn, nothing scheduling-wise is going my way today. First I learn of this, which made me hard, I swear. Then I notice it's on a Wednesday, which eliminates any possibility of seeing it in my hometown. So I check and it's not playing in the theatre here... Fifteen minutes later a local station announced that ZZ Top would be playing in Kingston November third. I was really excited at first (their new album is fantastic), then I realized that that's the date of the yugioh regionals in Montreal where I intend to get my nationals invite for next year. So my options are to miss ZZ Top and get my invite there, or wait and go to another event much further away, like a YCS down in the states for it later in the year, which would cost me way more. I just can't win. (First world problems, etc.)

Re: The Vent Thread
THIS HAPPENED TO ME. Fuck poorly designed nintendo products. This is the second DS Lite this has happened to me on and the third DS in total. AND they want $80 to fix it. Fuck that, it's not as if I threw it around. It just happened upon opening it.Kitsuner wrote:Picked up my DS for the first time in months. Now the hinge is partially broken. |:<
