This is the first year that I won't be able to attend an anime convention I've been going to for the past eight years, which is disappointing. A week ago, I discovered that there's a sci-fi convention in town on the same weekend that I can attend. I love unexpected surprises of this sort.

Got my RMA'ed drive back today. Brand new drive with 3.5" bracket and a SATA cable. I already have a bracket setup in my drive bay and a cable already setup so don't need em but it's nice to know I have them for a future build or upgrade. So far it's working just fine. But once I finish getting all my apps re-installed I'm taking a backup of my system disk (full drive image) because I really don't want to have to deal with this again (considering I thought I already did have a backup but instead it was just a backup of my editing scratch disk...)
