Good or Bad is a subjective attribute.
Whether or not an artist is popular can be put on a scale and is objective. Reasons for them being popular is also objective.
Reasons for you to say they're popular is subjective.

You claim that the bands must have some telant because they have money. Money means nothing. Money merely states that you have an income that outgrosses your expenses.

Money does not justify talent.
Money does not justify being good or bad.

Money justfies popularity.
Popularity is justified by your record sale and place on the charts.

All this starts with your image. If your image is bad, you will not sell any records, you will not have an income, you will NOT HAVE MONEY. Set your persona to a certain group and shoot.

but wouldn't the best solution is to just tell him 1 rapper that doesn't? I read two replies to that same quote, and No one bothered to do that.. there was one person who started babbling about how rap was mor than that or whatever.. and I didn't see 1 name..

I dunno.. Just strikes me as wierd thats all.. now if a name was already given, and that person definatly didn't rap about any of that.. then why reply with gigantic friggin books worth of nothing? arguments are finished when the point is broken, you guys critisize him for making that quote, yet if you can end it.. then do so.

a testament to a debatist is how well they can finish stupid arguements, maybe since you guys spend so much time writing in it.. that says something about how you people are aswell.. not just B.K.

i'm tired of arguing because it's meaningless and adds nothing to this discussion nor anybodys life, everybody against me? thats why there are two posts, two huge posts, saying what i'm trying to say eh? i'm not going to argue anymore, and i know that i'm a hypocrite because i said i was never visiting this particular thread, so sue me, i'm done with this, it's meaningless, you can argue about it with whoever you want, as for me, i'm done

I guess my post of the one "babbling about how rap was mor than that or whatever..". I don't know whether you read my whole post or not, but I did mention a few names towards the end.
And my post was dealing with a different facet of his argument than that which he and Zero were arguing about. I saw what he'd written as implying that rap was nothing more than ego trips, drugs, and violence, and I was merely pointing out to him that such was not the case, and did mention some rappers to get my point across. That's all; and it's unfortunate that me putting an aspect of his argument to rest (I've noticed he's said nothing in response to what I've written) was seen as 'babbling'.

At any rate, I'm pretty much done with this, there's not a whole lot left to talk about that's going to change anyone's mind.

Oh yea, before I go *applauds Hakura's post*

eminem... sux he really didnt deserve the oscar, oscars represent the respect of people and he has not had that yet, well the general population, in witch the oscars represent...

indeed i 2 lost respect for the oscars 2... eminem's music is good the first time u listen to it cuz its kinda funny, look at ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HATE HIM!!! his songs turn out annoying and undedicated, he is annoying and undedicated,

Eminem is an unusual rapper, but he sucks. Every goddamn one of his songs is all about himself and how badass he thinks he is and how he doesn't care about what anyone else thinks of him or his so-called music. But if he doesn't care, then why would he keep on repeating the same old crap about how much he doesn't care? He's all image and no substance. Britney fucking Spears deserved an Oscar more than Eminem did.
