You hush your mouth. Just One Fix is timeless, and We Believe is years ahead of its time.
btw where does Deadsy fit in? Synthpop? Gothsynth?
regardless, I like Key to Gramercy Park and Mansion World. (and I don't care what eveyone thinks  )
Electrorock, along with Orgy.

oh, and ohGr > Orgy. Give it time, you'll see. I'll have you listening to Skinny Puppy and liking it!
Synthpop would be bands like De/Vision, Covenant, Wolfsheim, Iris, later VNV Nation, Colony5, etc.
Gothsynth is more like Bella Morte or The Cruxshadows.
If nothing else, harsh noises get your attention.

Well, not all rap, but a bigger chunk than there should be.
Someone said that rap is very expressive of one's soul.

Most rap is simply a glorified bragging game of why one person is superior than the other if you want to think of it that way. Even Sugar Hill Gang bragged about riding Cadillacs in "Rapper's Delight," if you listened closely enough. Although, I think the main reason why modern rap lyrics contain all listed above is because it is a formula that works with the public, and will continue to work as long as there's a big name behind it, and it has a beat that you can move to in the clubs.

Like many other genres of music, rap too has sub genres such as; violent gansta rap that's about living te streetlife and criminal lives, bling rap about being rich and living a lifestyle opposite to how gansta rap portrays, positive rap which is similar to gansta but about possible solutions to the problems on the streets, and there's the filler rap that doesn't usually fit into any of these categories but just serve as an opening hit single to introduce the rapper's album and are made exclusively for the club scenes and dance floors. An example of filler rap singles include "the Real Slim Shady" to open second album, "Without Me" to open his third, Tupac's "California Love" to open the All Eyez on Me album, 50 Cent with "In Da Club" for Get rich or Die Tryin'. songs with Nate Dogg in it, and too many others to list. But like I said before, the reason I think that all rap today sounds similar, is because its sticking to a formula that ceases to fail, which is really such a shame.

I've strayed away from rap since Tupac left and since Westside Connection's album before Terrorist Threats. Now I'm selectively listening to Eminem, 50 Cent and Westside (now that they're back) and the rap from the early 90's.

Just remember that all types of music have different energies with different purposes. Not all songs in one genre are songs that you can just sit there to listen and to contemplate to, and not all songs in one genre are songs that you can move, dance, jump, or mosh to.
First Off not all Bitches oney ect. most of The rappers that talk 'bout that are what i call "Pussy-Rapppers" that are acting like bitches
There is real rap that comes from the heart check out 2Pac's song's and The Outlawz Xzibit(some of he's songs)Nas and mo'
and in All Eyez On Me there are a lot more great songs like:
Ambitionz Az A Ridah
No More Pain
Can't C Me
All Bout U
How Do You Want It?
2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted
Life Goes On
and much mo'
for The One That asked 'Bout 50 Cent Disses check out Ja Rule's CD's
any other disses?

Tupac - Brenda's got a baby

I hear Brenda's got a baby
Well, Brenda's barely got a brain
A damn shame
Tha girl can hardly spell her name
(That's not her problem, that's up ta Brenda's family)
Well let me show ya how it affects tha whole community
Now Brenda never really knew her moms and her dad was a junky
Went in debt to his arms, it's sad
Cause I bet Brenda doesn't even know
Just cause your in tha ghetto doesn't mean ya can't grow
But oh, that's a thought, my own revelation
Do whatever it takes ta resist tha temptation
Brenda got herself a boyfriend
Her boyfriend was her cousin, now lets watch tha joy end
She tried to hide her pregnancy, from her family
Who didn't really care to see, or give a damn if she
Went out and had a church of kids
As long as when tha check came they got first dibs
Now Brendas belly is gettin bigger
But no one seems ta notice any change in her figure
She's 12 years old and she's having a baby
In love with tha molester, who's sexing her crazy
And yet she thinks that he'll be with her forever
And dreams of a world with tha two of them are together, whatever
He left her and she had tha baby solo, she had it on tha bathroom floor
And didn't know so, she didn't know, what ta throw away and what ta keep
She wrapped tha baby up and threw him in tha trash heep
I guess she thought she'd get away
Wouldn't hear tha cries
She didn't realize
How much tha tha little baby had her eyes
Now tha babys in tha trash heep balling
Momma can't help her, but it hurts ta hear her calling
Brenda wants ta run away
Momma say, you makin' me lose pay, tha social workers here everyday
Now Brenda's gotta make her own way
Can't go to her family, they won't let her stay
No money no babysitter, she couldn't keep a job
She tried ta sell crack, but end up getting robbed
So now what's next, there ain't nothin left ta sell
So she sees sex as a way of leavin hell
It's payin tha rent, so she really can't complain
Prostitute, fair slang, and Brenda's her name, she's got a baby

Another one bum would be Blackstar.

Black eyed peas - Bringing it back
I know I'm not the only one that's filling the void
Creatively hip-hop is being destroyed
A lot of rappers really need to be unemployed
because the topics that them talk about has got me annoyed
You see I heard it all before, there's no need to repeat it
The forms I vacated, might as well delete it
Put your program in and open a new file
You shoulda took your record advance and bought a style
We the only crew that came original
while a lot of other brothers just mimic the pile
The pile that's only designed for pop charts
that contradicts thought, that's the reason we brought
it back cause honestly it lacks
talent and creativity, in fact
these are symptoms to somethin that's wack
And your system senseless to witness that
So, baby if you wanna, we gon' speak on it
We gon' tell the world why hip-hop is haunted
Money is a drug and MC's is on it
We gon' take it back to the days of Mantronix

[Chorus]
Yo *snap* we bringin it back
Check it out cause we bringin it back
All DJ crews that's cuttin, you bringin it back
We bringin it back
All b-boys breakin and bustin, bringin it back
We bringin it back
I'ma do the cabbage patch to solidify we bringin it back
Black Eyed Peas straight bringin it back, check it out

[Verse Two]
Y'all, your rhymes ain't ready, you dead like Kenny
Approachin on the mic soundin hefty
Ummmmmm, lustin for them pennies
Far too many, MC's wanna praise they Bentley's
Yo, we breakin it down with the art
DJ and breakin up on the chart
MC's pull out your mic, rip it apart
Writers - hit up the wall, put up your mark and
Set get ready, hold yourself steady
Tryin to make a turn like Aunt Betty
Sharp on the mic and slice like a machete
Feelin the beat, real deep, down to my belly
Back in the essence, rhyme with the reasons
Too many MC lost the true meanin
Hip-Hop, bringin it back with the feelin
Y'all, we're bringin it back with the feelin
So love me if you wanna, but I'ma speak on it
I'ma tell the world why hip-hop is haunted
Money is a drug and MC's is on it
We gon' take it back to the days of Soulsonic

BEPs - Get Original

[Verse Three - Chali 2na]
When you think about rap in it's entirety
Violence became variety
Silently personalities differ from what they try to be
2na be on the frontline, with rhyme shell I hit you
You're sluggish like a barbituate
We can make you admit you bit
A hectic thrill, connect with Will
and we create with the kung-fu collective skill
The checks get real, people think this shit is hunky-dory
It's another story while we be fightin for re-
-demption pimps and prostitutes get the break they need
With breakneck speed, the fakes succeed indeed
Thinkin life is a party and it's a must to please
But many pop MC's work for Mephistopheles stop it please
Choppin broccoli happily for your company
Publically sellin Satan when really you should be bumpin the truth
So stop now
* Stop now, get original
Just practice and master your flow

This has always been my favorite

Gza of Wutang, his solo album liquid swords - B.I.B.L.E.

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE LEAVING EARTH (2x)

(CHORUS 2x)
the basic instructions before leaving earth
life is a test may we quest the universe
and through my research, i felt the joy and the hurt
the first shall be last and the last shall be first

knowledge is wisdom, this goes back when i was twelve
i love doing right but i was trapped in hell
had bad ideas, sad eyes and tears
years of fear, but yo my foes couldn't bear
i searched for the truces in my youth
and with the church's birth
but it wasn't worth the loot, that i was paying
plus the prayingi didn't like staying
cause of bizzie-bodies and dizzy-oddies
that the preach-ass souped up the lies
had couped up lookin at loot, butt, and thighs
durin the service, he swallowed up the poor
and after they heard this, they wallowed on the floor
but i ignored, and explored my history that was untold
and watched mysteries unfold
and dropped the jewel like soloman
but never followed men
cause if you do your brain is more hollow then
space oblivia, or the abyss
with no trace of trivia, left with a hiss
doesn't pay to be deaf dumb or blind
from a slave he was kept from the mind
and from a cave he crept from behind
a what he gave was a sack of the swine
when the bible, that condemned the pig
i don't mean to pull your hems or flip your wigs
but we used to wear turbins
but now were in the urban
no more wearing benies
or dress like the genie
no hokus pokus cause i focus on the facts
and put it on the track or put it through the wax
i speak on jacob it might take up some time
and too much knowledge it might break up the ryhme
i did it anyway just to wake up the mind
of those who kiss stones or prays on the carpet
those who sit at home, or sell books by the market
need to chill and get their mind revived
for years religion did nothing but divide

chorus

i strolled through the books of joah the unfold
and opened bibles instead of hoping on revivals
calling on his name and screaming alleuia
when he hardly knew ya
that's how the devil fooled ya
see look into my eyes breverand
that's the lies of a reverand
why should you die to go to heaven
the earth is already in space
the bible i embracea difficult task i had to take
i studied till my eyes were swollenand only arose when
i found out that we were the chosen
i deal with the truth and build with the youth
and take my son as he kneels on the stool
son, life is a pool of sin
corrupted with foolish men
and women with wicked mind
who build picket signs
who legalize abortion
the evil eye extortion
i quiz some with my wisdom, before i converted
i was perverted
and knowledge was asserted
the study of wisdom, i perferred it
to understand it it gave me mental freedom
i even look caucasion, but really the tribe of edom
the white image, of christ, is really Cesare Borgia, and ah
the second son of pope alexander the six of rome,
and once the picture was shown
thats how the devils tricked my dome
i prophesized to save a man
but no one gave a damn
from my nation, the seed of abraham
blessed with the tongue of hebrew
now we're strung on needles
and some are pleasure evils
to study and be wise in these days of darkness
peace to my nephew marcus
