The kid is due mid-November (and I want to be surprised about the gender). We're hoping to still make it to AWA this year and right now things are looking good. But we're ultimately at the mercy of my doctor.

Sounds like most women I've known.

And so of course I do the logical and rational thing (should have known right there I was banging my head against a wall) and decide to lay out the real reasons I'm angry. And I'm met with nary a hint of any sort of reply. No apologies for lying, no "you're wrong and here's why", not even a lame attempt at justification.

Oh well. I'm sure she hasn't had time to think about it with her "busy schedule." She won't have time until she needs me to do something for her, at which point she'll probably read me the riot act for "suddently being so confrontational." She'll probably have plenty of time to go to Bonaroo and act like a whore there as well, however, but fuck her. I'm through dealing with it. I tried taking the high road by trying to address my anger like a rational adult, and got nowhere. I'm not going to keep trying at all on this anymore. If she wants to act like an adult and talk things out, fine. If she simply waits until she needs something again to give me the "You wanna hang out? Btw, could you to look at this for me..." routine, then she better be prepared for what she's going to hear...

I'm currently taking bets on which way it's going to go.

The first real "drama" happened at work today.

/me shows up at work late because of a doctor's appointment

Manager: IS THE <CLIENT> THING READY? YOU SHOULD HAVE COME IN THIS MORNING ALREADY! [enraged voice]

Me: Uh... No. The boss has to give me admin clearance online for me to do that.

Client: BULLSHIT. HE SAYS YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD IT DONE ALREADY!

Me: Uhhhh... I did all the legwork already. I all I need is clearance online to make it go live. I can't give clients our licences. I'm just an intern. Those things cost thousands of dollars. O_o

Manager & Client: RAAAAAAAAAAAWRGARRRRBLE

Me: Can I please go do my mundane filing already?

To summarize, a really big client purchased a freakishly big software package, and I set it all up from scratch for them. The only thing that had to be done was our boss to click the "GIVE CLIENT USER RIGHTS" button, and I can get it completely fixed up.

But both our manager AND the client today was very upset that our boss is on vacation, cannot do it, and took our their frustration on me. >_>
