In the personal sense, or musically, too?
Coming back to topic... I don't know too too much about the Linkin' Park guys, but it seems to me they're constantly keeping a very - well... unpretentious, but still pop-like image. I've seen some TV programs featuring them a couple of years back, and they seemed to be oddly fan-friendly, considering the usually-pissed nature of their music, etc.
Maybe that's a good thing. Just an observation, I guess...

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I smell Iced Earth fans coming to argue?
Or are they?... I'm not all that well-aware of them TBH. Only heard one song by them (and I liked it).

But don't anyone go calling Miles or Bob musical assholes!

I forget where the hell I read this, probably on Blabbermouth, but it was observed that Linkin Park will be the Bon Jovi of the new millennium for this reason. They may not be ultra-talented or able to make themselves and their music non-generic, but they will always go the extra mile for their fans. And thus they'll be around forever, just like Bon Jovi.Otohiko wrote:In the personal sense, or musically, too?

This was in contrast to Fred Durst, who has been an asshole to everone, fans, producers, labelstaff, other musicians, journalists, his own band members, etc etc etc, ever since he made it to the big time. Fred, Limp Bizkit, and the nu-metal trend are all going into the dustbin of history together. SOAD may survive by being interesting. LP will survive by constant fan service.
Oto: Nobody who knows IE is going to argue about Jon being a dick. He's an immensely creative musician and a hell of a guitar player, but he is also a total control-freak asshole who makes Steve Harris and James Hetfield look like Mahatma Ghandi.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.
