Between my car and my brother's car, we spent 6.5 hours working on the brakes today (I need new drum brakes in the back, and he needed new pads and rotors in the front).

We ended up only being able to change 1 rotor and 4 pads between the two of us.

I couldn't get the bad wheel cylinder off of my right rear brake (everything else came off...my car is 24 years old though), so now my car is sitting with 3 brakes and no brake fluid thanks to that bad cylinder. Gonna have to take it in to a shop

At least I guessed the correct size brake drum and shoes (napa carried 2 different size sets for my car, and the manual didn't list the sizes)

It's a Mercury (so...yep)

There were 3 different trims for my model, and mine is the most basic trim...so the 8" drum brake parts are probably for the high trim (maybe the middle one too, there's not much information on my car out there)

A while ago I got a Daily Deviation on deviantart, which is just a way of saying my art was featured on the front page for the day. The artwork was really old and definitely not my best, but that's what the gallery moderator chose, and it didn't go unappreciated. But a lot of the comments I received were either incredibly rude people or trolls, or both. A lot of people said "THIS DOESN'T DESERVE A DD" or "THIS REALLY SUCKS, WHY DID THEY CHOOSE THIS?" or "IT LOOKS LIKE YOU JUST WENT HERP DERP ALL OVER THE PAPER". The trolls I can get past, because I know they wouldn't ever say it to my face, but the others who are genuinely pissed off at ME because my work go featured?

In short, no one has control of getting a DD. You can't suggest your own art. So why would you gang up on someone who just woke up one day to find 14,000 messages in their inbox and had nothing to do with it? If you don't like the art, then that's fine, but you don't need to go rain on someone's very happy parade because you're oh so offended by my old ass art getting featured.

I'm venting about this now, even though it happened a while ago, because I am STILL getting retarded comments on it. And it's also been happening in other contests that I have won, where I have had no control over the outcome.

TLDR; don't be a dick and bitch at someone for something they have absolutely NO control over.

Got bombarded with work due to the end of the month and I only have a short week since I'm leaving for AX on Thursday.

But it's for my favorite dept and the people there are cool, so it's not all bad. I just don't want it all to pile up when I'm away.

Exactly the reason I will never touch another card that goes through them. I had a similar issue once where I went online to make the payment the day it was due. Well, their system refused to let the payment post until TWO DAYS LATER (the absolute earliest it would let me select a posting date). So of course I ended up getting slapped with a late fee, which was MORE THAN THE ACTUAL PAYMENT. I found out later I could have called and had them do a "rush processing" on the payment, but that would have entailed sitting on the phone for God only knows how long. Not to mention that option incurs a $15 (might have even been $20, but I can't remember) fee.

Yeah, my $20 payment turned into $97 before I could catch it. Best part is, I don't even have the money to pay it so it's gonna get worse :/
