Re: Vent Thread
I think I mentioned that our biggest client at the firm is getting audited, right? MUCHO STRESS ALL AROUND.
Well, I'm prepping all the documentation for the auditors, only to come across the fact that our old accountant that left us about a year ago failed to keep ANY records digitally, even though she was supposed to have been doing that way and TOLD us she had been doing it that way, AND when we called her this morning, she said it wasn't her problem any more and that I can "suck it".
The IRS now requires that all corporate audits must be done digitally. So despite the fact that we have paper documentation she created, it doesn't do us jack shit. >:/
Actually, it wouldn't matter, since the damn lady also failed to print off all the proper documentation anyway, so that's MORE things we have to prep.
Meaning that I'm going to have to prep nearly 2 years worth of work and put it into our system AND clean up the mess of things that she failed to do. I just finished the first month and it took me 3 hours to key/figure/adjust. Just 23 more to go. ;________;
Sadly, because of the aforementioned, my day off tomorrow has been axed without haste.
AND our head staff accountant [the equivalent of a manager] is taking a extended period of time off to take her CPA examination. So I have ZERO help to do any of this, since the bosses are on vacation, and the other people have to do payroll and our other client bookkeeping for the weekly/monthly clients.
At least they were kind enough to take my payroll and bookkeeping clients off my desk so I can deal with this headache. >___________>
I DESERVE A RAISE AFTER ALL THIS SHIT IS DONE!

DEMAND RETRIBUTION after it's all over. Don't miss an opportunity to let them know how you single-handedly saved their asses.

Went for a little stroll around the neighborhood with about 55lbs on my back to train up for Airborne School and Selections coming up in a few short months... 2 hrs later and just shy of 7 miles, I'm starting to realize I'm not as young as I once was
But now that I've got my baseline of where I'm currently at, I gotta double the miles and speed up my pace, while slowly increasing the weight I carry

One of the worst fucking nights ever. Didn't get to go out, got hoed out, and I think I broke my hand. -_-

My budget is very limited.
I can't buy new clothes now, unlike I were a student.

Re: Vent Thread
Had a bad dream where I was yelling at the top of my lungs at my sister not paying me back.
I woke up this morning realizing she still hasn't paid me back, but at least she has a new job and is saving up to pay me back.

Re: Vent Thread
They dumped another audit case on me today. Same work, different client, no assistance again. Do I have a sign on my forehead saying "Give the least experienced person in the office all the CPA work"? Then again, anything even remotely "computer related" gets delegated to me, since I'm basically a one-man informal and underpaid IT department.
It's not like its a daunting task, it just requires pinpoint accuracy to what we put on their taxes, or the IRS looks at us with that really creepy stare.
