87.8-95°F. Heat indices at 118.4-120.2°F.
Honestly, that sounds like our forecasts. All summer long. Then again, Florida only has two seasons: Comfortable (approx. mid October thru March or early April), and Hell on Earth (April-September or early October).

It's supposed to get up to 36 up here in Minnesota tomorrow...but It'll probably end up breaking 38 again (100F). I don't want to think what the heat index will be...and I'm glad that I don't have to do any work outdoors.Qyot27 wrote:For those that don't want to bother doing the conversion:Enigma wrote:Celcius?Fire_Starter wrote:Just be glad it's only 35. For reference, we usually see 14 days at or above 32C (90F) a year. We've had 8 already (3 over 100F), and will probably be above 90 for all of next week...gotta love MN weather

Re: Vent Thread
Client wants a training video done for another feature in their system. This feature depends on the database already being populated with work orders, purchase orders, site info, labor costs, etc. No big deal, right? I'll just get a semi-recent copy of their active database to play with. Wrong. The copy of the software I have is the SQL edition, and the version they're actually using runs off Access/Jet.
Shouldn't be a problem, but using the upsizing wizard in Access to convert it over will probably break a lot of stuff. So I go for the SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access, which is where things get REALLY annoying. I have a valid license for Access. I also have a valid license for SQL Server. However, I apparently do NOT have a license for SSMAA. To get one requires giving up all kinds of information that I should not have to disclose, just to convert a damned database. Now my only alternative is spending several hours populating the database with enough dummy entries to make the feature work, and at some point producing the actual video itself. I'd request a remote login and just do the whole thing based off of their actual production system, but the server running all of this is 6,000 miles away in a third-world country where the only internet connection is a 3G card that provides access for the entire facility...
It's a good thing this all comes under billable hours...

Re: Vent Thread
did something kinda dumb today.
tried to toss a rather large steel truck rim into the back of a truck, missed and hit the roof of the bed topper on the truck, blew the rear window out of the topper and had the rim flip backwards mid-air on top of my arm D:
i now have the ULTRA-BRUISE. feels like someone stuff rocks under my skin, that's how hard the bruise is it LOOKS like someone put a rock under my skin too.
also sliced the top of my hand open with the glass from the topper, so yay injury day? :S

Re: Vent Thread
So, my condo complex is having vent cleaners coming in this week and next week. They need to be let into our units to clean the vents from the inside too, and their ETA each day is 8AM to ?? for a total of 12 units per day. We've been given no contact information to arrange for them to call us when it's time for our turn. Apparently they expect people to take days off for this shit. I work right down the street from where i live - I could be there in 5 minutes from when they call, but apparently that's too much of a hassle for them to do for everyone.

Well, I was denied for a private loan. Great fun not having a cosigner and having shitty/no credit.
