I already agreed with you on that, I ramble to try and make sure everyone understands me, so dude, you don't want ME repeating myself.
To most people, sound is not enough. And that's to MOST, not some. That's why it takes a lot to look over the fact that rap comes off an converyor belt and still enjoy it. Infact, I think most rap fans hate this about rap, but just take these coinstant thrashings because what else are they suppossed to do? It's not like if they get super offended by us rappers are going to start writing music.

What do u muhfuckas consider rap? Sure there are some "Dr. Seuss Mother Goose" nursery rhymin', no talent niggas; "I wanna be a gangsta niggas;" and "I got mo' bitches and money and jewelry than any muhfucka" niggas; but there is also pure, unadulterated hip hop. I mean Nas' "I Can," Wu Tang Clan's "CREAM," Eric B. and Rakim's "Microphone Fiend" and "Paid in Full," K-OS' "Superstarr pt. Zero," anything by KRS-ONE (whose name means Knoledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone), or Public Enemy, or even 3rd Base and the Beastie boys (who can play instruments, btw). Listen to the real shit and don't judge hip hop by the nasty ass outer coating.

Music is a form of expression. In every genre there are bad groups and songs, there are no exceptions. Music is playing an instrument, but if you aren't creative then you only think an instrument is what you find in a store to buy. Your feet, hands and whatever else you can use can be an instrument, even the voice. That's why if someone can't sing, no one is going to listen to them cause they sound horrible. However, music can also have no voice, like classical which can be very complex.
Rap is music, a form of expression through words that only needs as much as someone using there hands or lips to form a beat. Most people who hate rap are either three things: Racist, Old school soul/funk/jazz/blues fans (which is were most if not all of rock gets influence from) or they like some rap not all but more hate the amount of attention crap rap gets.
Pop is music, but most artist aren't musicians, rather they are entertainers and for that they do work their asses off to put on a good show. Its equal to TV wrestling, which is not real fighting but not anyone can do it.
Techno is music, I'm not gonna try and explain. I do listen to it but its hard to explain. It's like the new age classical music without the amount of complexity or dedication. Club music, its use is to get people moving and it does. Like the drums of war.
