Re: Vent Thread
Alright, so I just got back from the foot doctor. I spent the weekend walking around Chicago eating good pizza (Gino's East FTW) and just generally enjoying myself. I wake up on Monday morning, my knee hurt like I knew it would after as much walking as I did, but so did my big toe on my right foot. REALLY bad pain at that. I figured it was just the sheath problem I have from time to time so I went on my merry way taking Tylenol for the pain and doing the exercises I was given in order to work it out. However by Wed it wasn't getting better, in fact it was getting worse. Figured I should go see a doctor. Got an appointment at the earliest I could, which was this morning. Went looking on the net for my symptoms and everything seemed to point to gout. I don't have any history in my family for it and my diet hasn't really actually changed at all in recent years other then I've been drinking less beer during the week.
Welp, I see the doctor and after we ruled out a fracture (didn't know if I hurt myself walking over the weekend) the doctor believes that I do in fact have gout. We wont know for sure until the blood work comes back, but we're gonna treat it like it is. He shot my foot full of pain killer, anti-inflammatory, and steroids, in order to help the pain and get me back on the road to recovery. He started me out on basically some slight diet changes and I have a script for Tylenol 3 (was gonna get Vicodin but we weren't sure if I'd react well to it considering my Morphene allergy) and ibuprofen.
I'm really kind of annoyed that I apparently have this problem. I have such a limited diet as it is and trying to cut back on foods that I do eat isn't really something I want to do. I'm a little confused by the list I was given, cuz' everywhere I read it's mostly red meat and fish that does it, yet I don't eat either of those. Who knows?
Either way, I am so very grateful for my insurance. I'd really be screwed financially this summer without it!

Dropped my glasses while cleaning them and they broke in half. I have them taped in the center and hopefully Costco can repair them tomorrow..

Re: Vent Thread
Shit is EXPLODING at work. I'd normally be amused, but the systems that are broken are what I do 90% of my daily work in. All the people who fix it are on vacation for like a week. So now we have to try and do a lot of stuff manually, but I'm really just halfassing it because I know once the system comes back up, I'll have to do it all over again anyway. Meh. At least I have a salary worthy of this kinda stuff now >____>

I wish.
Costco and Lens Crafters couldn't fix my glasses yesterday, so I have to take the day off today to go to a place that fixes them.

Re: Vent Thread
Been having stomach problems for the last week or two. I don't feel hungry, I feel like I don't want to eat at all, and then I start to feel nauseous. But not like, "must eat", more like "ate too much" nauseous. And it feels this way even when I do eat, even though I've only been eating little bits. Yesterday, the only thing I had throughout the entire day was a few slices of pizza and some breadsticks. Woke up feeling terrible, like I'd eaten waaaaaay too much food, and every little movement makes me feel dizzy. I had to work early this morning, but luckily the inventory system crapped out and I was able to slip out early.

Re: Vent Thread
Woke up super early for a phone call...mega sleep deprived since I couldn't fall asleep till almost 5am...
Over the phone interview, which is cool, but after over an hour on the phone.... my arm feels like it's gonna fall off >_> I was so nervous that I forgot to switch hands D:
My thoughts are so scrambled, I went to grab a bowl of cereal from the laundry room...I think there will be much napping today...

Re: Vent Thread
Bitch boss at the newspaper = a very edgy & angry Code.
I'd quit and just work at the accounting firm, but I need the extra money to pay my credit card bills [just spent like 800 bucks on school books at Amazon, and have like 600 bucks in fees left to pay off], and my folks are spending money like crazy, so I'd like to have a little insurance to make sure I have enough to keep the water/internet on. >____>
Oh, and to add insult to injury, my days of making extensively more money by working full time is shortly dwindling, with my last year of school on the horizon. Although I'm almost glad, because my days of tech support junkie is getting tedious and disgusting.
Them: "AH DURRRRRR..... Why won't my computer at home work?!? I need it to do... Uh... Work stuff...."
Me [What I want to say]: It's because of all the porn you've downloaded illegally from torrents and hidden badly. OH, and you don't have ANY virus protection. Wait... Is that... EWWWWWWWW.. Cannot unsee. >____________<
Me [What I actually say]: Virus. Let me take it this afternoon and I'll have it working again. Might i suggest keeping an eye on what sites you visit? /cracked smile
Oh, but it pales in comparison to the person that wanted me to fix their Windows 98 computer, despite the fact that they have a fully functional laptop they JUST bought that runs Win 7. WINDOWS FLIPPING 98. >_<

Our stomach can play tricks on us, make us feel full when we're really starving and vice verse. Assuming you haven't, see a doctor.Ileia wrote:Been having stomach problems for the last week or two.
