Re: Why are you in such a good mood?
posted to mah facebook and twitter...can't see any reason not to post here too
Had a midterm in one of my classes on Thursday (Computer System Performance Evaluation).
The course content so far is very close to another that I had taken a few years back (Random Systems & Signals). It's pretty much applied statistics, and the midterm was largely about random variables (which oddly enough aren't really random, and definitely aren't variables.)
In the last course (RS&S), I felt pretty uncomfortable with random variables...so I was a bit worried about the midterm. Turns out I aced it
To make things better, most everyone else did...not so great. There's a make-up exam being offered to everyone, and if I ace that one too (which I should, because it's essentially the same exam) I won't have to take the final and will pretty much be guaranteed an 'A' in the course. (exams count for 70% of my grade, with homework taking the remaining 30%...and I've gotten 100% on all homeworks thus far).
Now if I could just find a damn job...

Generally I'm just a happy chap anyways but I've had a terrific week so far and just wanted to mention that.

Re: Why are you in such a good mood?
Job orientation starts tomorrow at 8 AM. :3
Okay, so it's only part time and it was in the one department that I didn't want to be in (bakery/deli), BUT IT'S A JOB.
Also, our house has heat. Yaaaaaaay. I would complain that this means we're going to go without something (food, internet, etc.) to make up for the cost of the repair, but with a paycheck coming in, I should be able to supplement the loss myself.
ALSO also, I can gear up The Lecture & Interrogation that my mother is going to have to endure before she gets a goddamn penny from me. Is it cruel that I'm looking forward to that?

Congratulations and I'm happy for you. :3
Have fun with your money interrogation schemes. MIght I suggest [as an accountant] the use of a shark/dino feeding clause upon failure of certain acts?

Part time = free time I'm also working part time (approx. 5 hour shifts). But it's kinda dangerous to get used to it. I had one 8 hour shift some time ago. Felt like an eternity.dj_ultima_the_great wrote:Job orientation starts tomorrow at 8 AM. :3

Slept for the first time in 6 days. Yeah, really. 6 Days without any sleep at all.
Not only that, I wake up to having recieved a welcome home-present from my mom, laying on my desk. Battlefield 3: Limited Edition (PC).
So actually, joy.
