I have to agree with Oto's first post in this entire thread.

And as for that one occasional track that Oto was talking about, mine would be a little educational rhyme by an artist called Canibus. "Niggonometry"...

...a rap about science (somewhat).

There are a few others, but I lack the mental capacity to remember them at this very moment.

As for the uneducated and ultimately un-profound (for lack of a real word) in the end, it comes down to the elitist's view that following the crowd is not the way to go.

Then again, some people can just be plain stupid. But who am I to judge.

I like 80's music. I like trance. I like rock. I like metal (whatever you want to call real or not). I like some rap when it comes on the radio or what have you.

I like music. Music is made by artists. (...sometimes)

We as AMV directors are artists ourselves. We don't bash and flame eachother, or at least we try not to, while Op'ing a vid...

Take the musicianship in any rap album of your choice, and compare it to the musicianship in an Iron Maiden album. I think that should speak for itself for the most part...If they hired a guitarist and had hip spend half the time practicing soloing as the artists spend finding new ways to talk about abusing women while shoving more syllables in per minute so that they can talk about abusing even more women, you might have something listenable...
