I wanna see it! :o

I was thinking of doing a self reflection type video when I hit my 100th video. I've already done 79 videos so far.

That's because you're ghey. Something like this could work, but no one has any ambition.

I'd love to except for the fact that I:

A. Don't have a EOS 5D mk II.
B. Don't have plane tickets across the world to interview influential editors.

Doing this shit over webcam or having every editor involved somehow shoot themselves isn't really an option.

Brad did a documentary thing about AMVs once. He interviewed me for it.

I couldn't give him a straight answer about anything: being interviewed about AMVs, to me, just feels stupid. Consequently, I am not in his documentary. (I think. It's been a while since I saw it.)

What David was talking about. And yeah, you're in it. Though of the 50+ minutes I had you talking, I literally used the only coherent piece of dialogue.

It features Liz (Nessephanie), Jay (Koopiskeva), David (Trythil), Ileia, and Jon (Metro).

I made this for my 2007 Cinematography class. We were basically given freedom to make whatever we wanted, so I made this. I had had the idea for a couple years. The end product is nowhere close to what I had in mind. Plus the lighting and sound recording is awful. The biggest challenge though was definitely what David was saying which is, getting people to talk about this stuff in a "documentary fashion" is really tough. I had a list of about 20 questions that I asked all of them. I encouraged people to answer by repeating the question first (like if I were to ask "When did you begin editing?" I'd like them to say "I began editing <however long ago>." rather than just "<however long ago>"). That didn't always work. Plus, when you're on the spot it can be really tough to come across as natural and interesting. Even a question as simple is "What is an AMV?" produced very few usable clips. I think if I had given people more time to really think about and contemplate the kinds of things they wanted to say it would've been better. I had a part of me that just wanted be to be like "oy.. just say this specific thing into the camera," but then it's simply a film, and not a documentary. But yeah, it's there if you want to check it out. I will say I really like the score and credits. :o
