HARDCORE ONLY!!!

Post by anomolee » Fri May 02, 2003 10:42 pm

Yes, well, do not assume by the title of this thread that I am limited in my choices of music... just that I need something that is... and will be seen as HARDCORE!

I have recently found lots of bands such as Glassjaw, Poison the Well, Deftones, and At The Drive-In. I have enlisted several local bands as well as friends to record music that would fit well with my first (on this site) video. It should be music that doesnt have to be lyrically challenging, but able to set someone on the edge of their seat with energy!

Near everyone has a song that inspires them in some way that I have described... just submit them... and I'll listen...

I'd say anything of Disturbed's first album. Like, Violence Fetish kicks all ass, speaking of which, I haveta remake my Asuka's Violence Fetish video... But not much from their second album, because they got more mellow, almost started pulling their punches....but they still made a damn good album with it.

What exactly do we mean by hardcore? A particular style or a general non-mainstream movement?

Now recording original music for a video - I applaud that idea. Get cracking on it :) expecting the vid, maybe I'll at last find just what HARDCORE means....
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

this is one of my absolute favorites
fits w/ the mood of a mercyless battle
slow it down by 50% and it fits the demonic mood of being a walking juggernaut
or being the unseen sniper out there

hardkore is basically an if you go by what evan seinfield from biohazard says. its music thats just about being music, playing for yourself, and never catering to the mass media machine.

its a blend of grindkore(metal with grownling), and old school (real)punk's speed and lyrical udnertone

the only way to really know what hardkore is though, is to listen to some of the bands ive listed, and get a taste of the music
