..This group was simply the best, since they appear in '92, for my the music didn't be the same, never.

what's your opinion about the group?..

Pretty rockin', they had some good points in their music, but then they became kind of annoying, mostly because rich ass college kids listened to them to feel all morally superior and rebellious (so long as it didn't interfere with their education to make $50,000 a year+).

I don't blame Zack De La Rocha for leaving (and essentially killing the band). Trying to raise consciousness and all, and instead Rage became associated with rich far-left poseurs and the "Godzilla" soundtrack.

Still, "Evil Empire" was a good album.

Never liked them, and I never really understood the appeal. The vocals bug the heck out of me.

Viva! Che! - Yea, they were pretty cool, I just like the way there appeal to rebel leaders came about, you know, like there t-shirts w/Che/Emiliano/and of course Pancho Villa, I seem to take an intrest in all three of them since the were great legends of rebellion and latino..

Rage appealed most to suburban and "radical" college kids. Imperialism this, oppression that, but god forbid they do anything that might affect their chances to make $$$ when they graduate.

Che was an interesting character, but a poor leader in the end. I don't think it's wise to piss off both the Soviet Union AND the US during the cold war, or start up rebellion in other countries before getting your own in order.

Pancho Villa ended up being shot by the US Army, as I recall, with no true legacy beyond the tales of his exploits.

<a href="http://www.mexconnect.com/mex_/history/ ... miliano was killed, too, and the Zapatista conflict is going on still.

Oh well, they're still interesting characters.

Speaking of Mexican bands, anyone here heard of Hocico?

I am wearing a RATM shirt with Emiliano on the front and that quote on the back at the moment.

I wish I slept with more girls,
