Songs so good they give you goosebumps

Post by Lone Wolf » Fri May 14, 2004 8:58 pm

Is there a song you know of that is so energetic and/or emotional that every time you hear it you get goosebumps and your hairs stand on end? I'll list some of my all-time favorites:

Fuel - Hemorrhage (In My Hands) [Probably my all-time favorite song]
Live - Lightning Crashes
Lynard Skynard - Call Me the Breeze
Puff Daddy featuring Jimmy Page - Come With Me
Silverchair - Tomorrow
Vertical Horizon - Inside [A new favorite of mine...great song]

This is just a brief look at some of the things that do this to me. List your songs. I'd really like to hear more.

Oh, dozens. And sometimes it depends on my mood at the time, or if I haven't heard a particular song in a while. I kinda hate that; it always makes me self-conscious to break out in goosebumps on a hot day.

I'll throw out "One Tree Hill" by U2 off the top of my head, as I've got that CD on now and it usually has that reaction. But then, everybody's reaction is different. It's a combination of the song and what you bring to it.

I swore I could've creamed four times when i was listening to Dj Dean's Dj Networx vol. 16 for the first time :P. Okay, I'm exaggerating, but I was definitely not in the physical world when listening to that album on my headphones.

i was listening to the subhumans "religous war" while my mom was listening to this stuff about south africa. it was talking about this like little protest a bunch of middle school black students were doing about having to learn in there school in "africance." they were talking about how cute every one looked, holding hands and chanting and stuff. a bunch of little kids making a political statement. cute. then the person talking said "and then the police shot into the crowd" just as they said that i got total goose bumps

"Elegia" - New Order
This song, coupled together with the short film I first saw it with is just....words cannot describe it.
If you can find it, watch the short film "More"

Wait,I saved you the touble. Watch this short film NOW.

Now if only they could release that in dvd or put it on the web in abetter format than the obnoxiously overcompressed Realplayer format.

"The Best is Yet to Come" form the Metal Gear Solid OST.
Celtic is awsome.

I can't think of anymore right now......

Heh, the link above leads to a cob web page on SciFi.com. Sorry, the file doesn't work there.

However, this answers all my demands from above.
So, if a 16mb Quicktime file doesn't scare you off, watch this film now. (and even if 16mb scares you off, you should still download it. This short film is that good)

Noticed a couple of the songs you mentioned are on the Big Shiny 90s cd, great cd for anyone interested. Highly recommended.

Hmmm songs that give me goosebumps. All depends on my mood I guess. If I'm down there's a song by Jeff Buckley called Hallelujah that really gets to me.

Most of my musical tastes are from the 80s though so no matter what I list it'll probably not be considered good by most of the new age people here. The song One by U2 made Axel Rose cry. Get that song.
