It actually depends on my mood at the time:
Happy - any genre may apply.
Mad - something angsty that makes me say "YEAH, let's go kick butt".
Neutral - sad songs, something with feeling.
Basically any genre in any language applies, music in general makes me happy.

Something that completely deceives my mind, something that eludes straightforward patterning and analysis while listening, something that lures me into what I believe is a natural sonic direction and than shatters all my expectations by ripping my assumed familiarity with music as a larger entity to shreds. And this sense stays in the music, even after repeated and detailed listeining.
In other words, hearing music I don't know. No, I don't mean music I haven't heard before. I mean music that I would have never conceived to be possible.
There's a small number of artists which have done that for me so far, but it expands continuously.
The downside is that it's very difficult to get me 'hyped up' with 'conventional' music anymore

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

You could have just said "I want you to put King Crimson into it".

Well, no, not really. Or rather, not neccesarily. King Crimson isn't the only one with that effect, anyway (take someone like Captain Beefheart or David Sylvian for instance). And, really, I love a plain good rock AMV, too - if it has the right sort of energy to it. And all other sorts of good AMV's...
What I will spit out though... yes, I'd love more King Crimson AMV's, but I don't want them to be made for 'hype'. I don't even recommend people listen to the band unless they really get a connection to the music. If anyone else makes KC AMV's, I hope they make them out of personal interest and connection to the music, and not on some 'suggestion for hype'.
But erm, I think it's obvious I would go nuts if another editor ever released an AMV to the band

Hmmm, for me, some of the really super-sugary pop gets me hyped, but only if I'm in the right mood to start with. Otherwise it just give me a headache. Stuff like S.E.S.
But, um, I like Darude. and DJ Sammy. Gives me the same feel, but in more moods.
Oh, and almost anything off of the FLCL or Cowboy Bebop soundtracks.
Good fight music? That's, like an oxymoron. Or almost. I'm thinking of the Everquest fight music, and the Lunar 2 fight music. I got so sick of that stuff, and any other fight music I've heard.
