Guess the tune!
everybody can join! take a short snippet of lyric from a song and see if people can guess what song it is.
i'll begin with an easy one
"how many roads must a man walk down
before he can call himself a man"
maybe folks can find some, video friendly lyrics here perhaps

The answer, my friend, is
"Blowing in the Wind"
But who sings it....gah! I'm gonna go out on a limb....Peter, Paul, and Mary?

Google confirms me. As well as listing Bob Dylan...huh. Never heard his version of it.
Anyway, here's something more modern (or is it?):
"Dodge Swinger, 1973
Top down, chassis low
Panel dim, light drive"

I think this is Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A.", but I'm not sure.Borstj wrote:now what is this?
"Born down in a dead man's town
The first kick I took was when I hit the ground
You end up like a dog that's been beat too much"
Pity that all anyone can understand of that song is the easily repeatable chorus, because as a result, they end up thinking that it's actually supposed to be a patriotic song.
Anyway, here's another one, from a recent Australian synthpop group...
"If I surrendered to your arms
Wasn't captured by your charms
There'd be nothing left to say
Nothing left to say"
I already tried Google for these lyrics, and they're nowhere to be found, so good luck.

Grippin' your pillow tight
Exit light, enter night
Take my hand, off to never-never-land.
hmm
a classic
"I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die"
BTW. I really agree with the Springsteen comment, all to many see him as a flagwaving moron, everybody should listen to the record Nebraska then people would see ze truth!

here's one:
"I know her, used to follow everywhere we'd go
and it's so sweet, now she's sleeping with a boy I know
the boy I know, knows a pretty girl in every town
and the way they look, they were made to let each other down"

How about this?
"I got nothing to say I ain’t said before
I bled all I can, I won’t bleed no more
I don’t need no one to understand"
