I was unaware that trance was happy. The trance I know is what I listen to when I'm depressed. Well, if anything try Massive Attack. They have a specific trance song called Angel that I think you might like. Their other stuff is good too.
For alternative rock try Garbage.
I'll compile a list of others later, here are the two that fit best off the top of my head.

If you want trance with a more happy feel to it, get No Silence by ATB . Theirs a certian feel to the album. Its slightly more upbeat than most trance that I've heard, and the lyrics have a certian childlike nature to them. Its good.
If you want something a bit moodier (I wouldnt say depresing, trance is usualy very relaxed) get In My Memory by Dj Tiesto . This is easily one of the best trance albums I've ever heard. I'm planing on geting some of his other CD's, soon as I get some money. Darude's first album is prety good too, but kinda old. So it may be a bit hard to track down. I used one of the songs from his second album in my latest amv (link in sig).

frou frou is a soft "uptempo break" style beat.Ninjafox wrote:cool thx for the replies, hmm ive got 3 songs of Dj Tiesto but i dont hav memory >.<..mmm for trance i suppose sumthing like ''I must be dreaming'' by FrouFrou" that has a good beat also like ''Angel'' by ''Sarina Paris'' is good too. mmm for rock so far on the org forums Nirvana, Pink Floyd and Guns n Roses seem pretty good, thing is i dont noe if its the type of rock i listen too..
if you want something so happy you want to slit your wrists look for some happy hardcore stuff like gompie, happyravers, but happy hardcore in general is like that
if you want uplifting trance try Chicane for starters. or most any vocal by ian van dahl, peter lutz, gabriel & dresden. or milk inc. I know there are a huge amounts more

The closest thing to trance that I actually like is Hybrid. "I'm Still Awake," "Visible Noise," and "We Are In Control" are great tracks, though I guess it's not trance in the purest sense. If you can find "Blue Illusion" by Stevie B-Zet, that might also be of interest to you.
I really despise pretty much all of the rock bands you mentioned but, but based on what you seem to be into I will recommend the Mad Capsule Markets and a band called Linkin Park. Yeah, they're an up and coming band. I see big things for them.
