dark music

Give me a few bands or songs that just really sound good but bring in the evil.
If you have a website that would be the best.

Death metal, Gothic Rock or other?

We can best help you if you give us some type of genre.

Yeah, you need to be more specific. Are we talking death metal? Black metal? Goregrind? Darkwave? Etc etc etc...throw us a bone here.

Tool is a pretty good choice, so is Tool's side-project, A Perfect Circle (well, some of their songs anyway, "Imagine" would be a good choice)

Type-O Negative has some good stuff

Pain station is also a good choice

Or if that's not quite what you mean (maybe youre looking for more of a soundtrack-y kind of thing?), try looking for "King Lear" from the Armored Core 2 soundtrack (Has a real 'deathmarch' feel to it) or, maybe better, is a song called "Gateway to Destiny" By Silicon Knights (From the ETERNAL DARKNESS soundtrack)

Well done, Farlo. Well done.

Nightwish is a good band. And like Griffon said, Type O Negative is good. Angel, Black No. 1, and Die With Me are good songs from them.

Also, Flaw is good hate music to kill people to.

Hope that helps, but dark music is not my specialty.

It's probably just that he's completely lost relevance, but going this far into a "dark music" topic without going to Danzig is an injustice crying out for redress. The first four albums are the best, with personal preference for 4; Danzig III is overhyped and I and II still have a lot of his earlier punk heritage in them.

More recently, we have Sentenced, who took their time getting back to the peak that was Amok, but nearly reached that level on The Cold White Light; a new album is due fairly soon.

Even further out of the mainstream we have Agalloch, practically the definition of "different" as regards metal, gothic, or folkic music. The End's distribution isn't always that great, but if you look at dedicated record stores (not Best Buy/superchains) you should be able to find them.

If evil is what you want, then there is no prescription better or more invigorating than Vital Remains. Their 2003 record Dechristianize alone stands as a tremendous argument fro traditional dead-brutal death metal in the face of all the innovations that have overtaken the scene in the last ten years. It's both a monstrous onslaught and a true creative triumph.
