Any J-Metal Bands out there?
I was wondering if there were any good Japanese metal bands. No, I'm not talking about Loudness, I'm talking about Rapcore, Nu-Metal, stuff like Slipknot or Killswitch Engage. The only band I know of, so far is Naiad and they're pretty good, but the words are in English (like Loudness). Any Japanese-speaking Metal bands anywhere?
Be non-conformist! (Everyone's doing it!)
I guess Max Payne isn't much of a yaoi fan...

Plenty. And they all suffer from terrible production, shitty death growls, over-emphasized distortion, and ridiculously distasteful double-bass. That's if you're looking for rapcore and thrash like you said. Most of what I've found is death metal.Bardiel13 wrote:Any Japanese-speaking Metal bands anywhere?

Other good bands ?
Maybe Shadow (good melodic death metal, sounds pretty much like gothenburg in the mid 90s)
Or Sigh (death metal by a very talented 3 man combo)

Oh right, Visu Hard Rock. Of course, how could it be anything but that?Warheart wrote:Thats not metal, it's typical Visu Hard Rock.Flint the Dwarf wrote:X-Japan is the best Jmetal band I've heard, but they're like Shitknot.
Good job further complicating the already ridiculously restrictive genre system.
