Have you heard of these artists?
I just reciently purchased a couple new Statovarious CD's and recieved a small book that contains other artists produced by the company Nuclear Blast and Scarecrow Records. I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of these groups before and if you have how good they are.
-Mystic Prophecy
-Narnia
-Helloween
-The Defaced
-Defecation
-Destruction
-Dew-Scented
-Moonspell
-Lacuna Coil
-Sirenia
-Therion
Just to let people know these are not U.S. bands so if you have not heard of them don't be surprised. Hopefully though someone has and can tell me if there is anyone here to check out.

You don't read the music forum much, do you? If I'm not mistaken, many to all of those are metal bands. (although I'm guessing Narnia is Christian power metal, specifically)
I've not heard of all of those, but Helloween and Lacuna Coil I am definately aware of. Mostly thanks to this forum. Helloween, I gather, is something of a legend.

You are very right. I don't check out this section of the forum very much. As for Helloween and Lacuna Coil, how good is the groups music. Is it really heavy metal, as in the kind of stuff that you can't listen to without your ears bleeding, or along the lines of Statovarious and Nightwish. THese two groups play the kinds of stuff that I really like.

Obviously you have never heard any grindcore, real black metal, metalcore or anything else that might be considered underground. For ear-bleed material I suggest you check out the likes of Napalm Death, Marduk, God Forbid, Meshuggah and Strapping Young Lad.Gallup wrote:Is it really heavy metal, as in the kind of stuff that you can't listen to without your ears bleeding,
