I like Cannibal Corpse, does anyone else?

I like their album art, does that count? I haven't heard Cannibal Corpse in like seven years though.

Shape-CDs are cool to look at, much less cool to actually play. I have Hypocrisy's Maximum Abduction disc, which is in the shape of a crucified chicken, and on the few times I have dared stick it in a CD player, it has never played correctly. This is probably why they took all the non-album material from this one and put it on the digipak of Fourth Dimension.

ontopic:
CC are on my list of "bands to buy if there's nothing rare". They're cool, but not cool enough on record that I'll pick up their discs over originals of old thrash acts, limited releases from Malaysia, or Russian bands wh are going to get their distro pulled as soon as someone translates the lyrics and finds out about their politics. I've seen a couple videos of them live, though, and that alone has me resolving to see them live at first opportunity. The instrumental chops those guys have is just sick.

I only enjoyed Cannibal Corpse when Barnes was around, Vile was good but Gallery, Gore, and this piece of shit Wretched Spawn just fucking blow, George Fisher does not appeal to me at all.
Now Barnes well I've gotten over him as well, his constant growling has gotten old and 6 Feet Under suck so much cock their on a constant 24/7 gagathon.
Oh yeah their album is the only thing that interests me about them these days, Rob Bussey is back with them (Guitarist on Butchered album) since Jack Owen high tailed it out of there, personal reasons I believe.
I do listen to the Butchered, Tomb, Bleeding and Vile albums once in a while for a good ole fasion Death Metal fix, but then again I could just as easily turn to Morbid Angel or Disgorge for that.
Heres a question, what do you enjoy about CC?

Edit: Their album covers are the only things that interest me...

Cannibal Corpse are possibly the most over-rated fucking gimmick to ever come out of the metal scene.

For ages they have been pounding out album after all that all sound alike, have the same fucking theme and are virtually interchangable.

Sorry, but I firmly feel that CC are a load of shit.

Death, Bloodbath, Napalm Death, Nile, Entombed..there are soooo many Death metal bands worth listening to.

Not too mention even their album covers got boring years ago.
I fear the little people.

the only reason I won't hunt you down, find out where you live and gut you is because you made a reference to Death and Nile, and never compare faggot-ass Napalm Death to Cannibal Corpse, thats something you might just get shot for saying around these parts because undoubtly Cannibal Corpse has been around for just as long or longer than any other upstanding death metal band ever, if you ask anyone who knows anything about good death metal, they will definitely hold CC in high regard

heh where florida?

in all honesty the only cannibal corpse i ever really got into was their debut eaten back to life from '90. I have been listening, and enjoying napalm death for years, and they have rarely let me down in there 20 years. maybe its because their lyrics are slighty less gimmick(think im wrong, look at "necro-pedophile")

the thing is, why should it be that important what variety of death metal you listen to? its all metal at its cold black heart.
