All the boy bands (NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, all the boy bands) are crap. But there IS good pop music. All you have to do is go back in time, and look at artists and groups like say:

Otis Redding
Aretha Franklin
The Spinners
Hall & Oates
Tina Turner
Phil Collins
Howard Jones
Peter Cetera

and there's more, I just can't think of 'em now.

umm Im quite ashamed that I know this but remember that set of shows a few, like 5+ years ago? That made bands? they spit out bands like O-town? Yea think of that era.. theres:

Wave
Soul Decision
B44..

Wow, way to stereotype.

Anyways, the majority of pop groups dont care about the music they make as long as it gets them rich. However, like RamonesFan said, there are good pop groups out there, and what makes them good is because their music is from the hearts.

Big fan of Phil Collins BTW.
