Rammstein, Disturbed and Slipknot..... used a bit too much.
you know its true, regardless of how godly the music is, (or how godly the AMV to it is, props to Kevin Caldwell), you know you've heard Du Hast, Engel, Duality, Before I forget, a bit much. (but fortune smiles upon you, if you like the Mutter and earlier days of R+, see what inspired them
WAY WAY too much.
but, we all know that screaming metal (yes, I know that Till Lindemann doesn't Growl) doesn't fit with the eloquence and demeanor of the subtleties of romance with guns.
which brings me to Nightwish and Evanescence.
yes, we know you like Nemo. yes, we know you like Bring me to life, but still...... one can hear something only so much.
For example: there isn't too much difference between Evanescence and Flyleaf, and yet one has been used every three seconds, the other, not so much.
Chop Suey! is god, but there's also Richard Cheese
and if I hear something from Meteora one more time, I will find you and kill you personally by finding something like say, a lawn dart and using you for target practice... (Be happy to use the new CDs)
I know you're going to be "but Ganon, you use the 9th used video ever!" (Eva, if you couldn't guess)
this is true, but video wise, I'm a noob, and I'm willing to admit that.
audio wise, well, thats my field.
that's the only thing I have going for me right now, believe it or not, and so I make the best of it, (because I lack DVDs (well not overly used DVDs, lets rephrase that) , people willing to let me borrow them, money, and a decent rental store (netflix hates me).
yay diversity!
PS: why wasn't Disturbed mentioned? Because i ran out of threats and they're TOO unique.
oh..... and yes, i was ranting, feel free to yell at me for that..... I know this is a Forum not a blog, but still, I've got a point, and this way people who say that they were the first ones to use said band have to show their faces to us.

This was my first post in the org under this name... I have learned a lot since then... Welcome to the Org! Enjoy your stay and yes indeed, make amv's even if the band is overused meh who cares, as long as you like it.
P.S It better be metal though... no nu-metal shit like slipknot, disturbed or industrial (surposedly) Rammenstein

Several of the statements in the opening post made me laugh aloud.
Another CLASSIC.
Let me let you in on something, kid. You don't know much about music. Hell, I own over 100 CDs, and I still don't know as much about heavy metal as I should. And those bands... they aren't unique, they aren't good. They can't write anything different to save their lives. After a very short while, all of their music just blends together. They're boring, mundane, more stale than a bag of chips that's ten years out of date. Their music all sounds the same (And this is a blanket statement for the whole post, including Nightwish), and it sounds like all the rest of the shit in their genre.
And for some reason, I can't find the right words this morning. Guess I'm still kinda tired. Someone else pick this one up for me, please.
Rammstein? Slipknot? Godly? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH *rolls around on the floor, incapacitated with laughter* That's funny kid, wow, that's my laugh for the day. Brilliantly played, acting like you know something about music *pats head* sit down, man. You know nothing.you know its true, regardless of how godly the music is, (or how godly the AMV to it is, props to Kevin Caldwell), you know you've heard Du Hast, Engel, Duality, Before I forget
Another CLASSIC.
Disturbed? Unique? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, that's almost as funny as the first statement.PS: why wasn't Disturbed mentioned? Because i ran out of threats and they're TOO unique.

The reason why I didn't make an argument is because Requiett's quite right. Every genre has a lot of same sounding shit. Baroque specifically always followed a set of rather constricting rules. Even as time wore on, and baroque faded to classical and classical to romantic, a lot of elements stayed pretty similar, even with rearranging the orchestra (Wagner) and being completely whacked out on opium (Berlioz, though I'm sure that opiate usage was quite common in the romantic era), a good chunk of stuff sounded the same.requiett wrote:That Baroque all sounds the same to me.DarthGanon wrote:uh classical?requiett wrote:Name me one genre this statement wouldn't apply to for most artists.Tono_Fyr wrote:it sounds like all the rest of the shit in their genre.

Re: Rammstein, Disturbed and Slipknot..... used a bit too mu
Then you probably shouldn't be refering to those bands as metal. Some of us might discount everything else you say because you're a fool, and don't know your music.DarthGanon wrote:Re: Rammstein, Disturbed and Slipknot.

On the other hand, about the overused...
QQ more, noob.
