Most people haven't heard of it, but there is , what I think, a great genre caled Drum & Bass. It's got some of the same "techno"-like qualities as trance, but the beat is a little different. Only way I can describe it in "laymen's" terms is that it is "techno" with sort of a driving rock drum beat. It also contains some good melody and atmosphere, and sometimes vocals. This by no means represents the entire genre, but these are tracks I personally like. These tracks range from laid back, to very high energy
