3D lighting effect in Sony Vegas?

Post by xPiikanyaa » Sat Oct 03, 2009 12:16 pm

How to you do 3D lighting on people's hair and faces in Sony Vegas? (Is is even possible...?) I'm trying to do something similar to the 3D effects in TerryH1984's video ''Celebrating A Decade Of Anime''

Please help!

You could try clicking on track motion on the track then changing the source to 3d source alpha. Then you can mess with the brightness contrast or the bump map. As for the hair thing im not really sure what you meant

Can you give a specific time in the video that does it? Cuz I just watched it twice and it's hard to tell what you mean by 3d lighting cuz the video is sooo busy.

02:23 to 02:25 is probably the most noticeable example, when the Lucky Star cast are dancing in the middle of the screen. :)

Use Track motion to put the glow and shadow to make it look 3D. You can move the glow so it is only on one side. It's the closest thing I can think of. You may want to play around with some directional effects like light rays or radial blur along with it.

Thanks, I'll try that. ^_^
