Burning Film!

Ok i was wondering how to do this burning film, i took a guess that it was with adobe after effects using the Spicemaster AEX, but when i try to use it it doesn't look right so i think i might be wrong... the effect shows up at 0:21 of this video [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRWbfb564Vw ] Also I wanted to know another effect on the same video its at 0:19-0:20 its like the boxes!Third thing is the border on most of the clips, like at 1:24! just do digitize, motion blur vertical, fade and layering with opacity, saturate it, apply glow, and add a scrolling transition, then duplicate the effect on a copy of the layer with a time delay several times in rapid succession.

The first burning effect was from riot gear it's pre-made footage called 'Ink bleed' but it comes without the actual colors around it... not too sure how he made those awesome colors but I'd guess that he feathered and added colors to it and added lots of contrast.. and the borders are from riot gear you just have to download them and add chroma key to them or you can use mask generator (an effect in vegas)
